He made the decision to marry Vedika and he didn't fulfill his duties as a husband and he needs to be fully accountable for it but here everyone is angry on Vedika only. Whilst I agree that Kartik took the decision to marry Vedika on his own, I would disagree with the statement that he wasn’t emotionally blackmailed. I remember the scene in which Dadi was in the hospital and Manish accused Kartik of being responsible for Dadi’s state. He said if something was to happen to Dadi, it would be due to Kartik’s stubbornness of not moving on in life. Even said something along the lines of everyone’s lives being at a stand still because Kartik wasn’t able to move on from Naira. I skipped the scene in which Kartik asked Vedika to marry him but from what I have heard, he clearly implied in the proposal that he was only marrying her as a friend.

That proposal might have been selfish because he was doing it to save his Dadi’s life but the fact is, the truth wasn’t hidden from Vedika. Vedika knew the circumstances under which Kartik proposed her. Having lost his mother, brother, newborn baby and his wife, and then being told that he would be responsible for his grand-mother’s death as well if he doesn’t agree to marry another girl is emotional blackmail imo.

Sawan Milni was celebrated a few days after the proposal. Kartik saved Vedika from falling from a swing and Vedika took that as a sign of him being happy with the alliance? She thought about that moment as if he had intentionally touched her or had come close to her. This was literally a day or two after he had been honest with her about his situation.

If you wanna talk about the mehendi (my facts might be wrong because I had skipped the entire episode), Vedika saw Kartik’s breakdown and broke the alliance. Kartik didn’t react instantly. It wasn’t like he convinced her to marry him right after she did her drama. He saw how distraught everyone was and only then did he say he would try to move on. I do think that it was foolish of Kartik to make a promise he knew he won’t be able to keep, but again, he was blamed by his own father for being the cause of everyone’s misery literally a few days before.

On the day of the marriage Kartik told Manish he will only ever love Naira to which Manish replied “get ready for the marriage”. Before Swarna took Kartik aside to ask him whether he was ready, Kartik had witnessed a frantic Vedika screaming “I knew he was gonna leave me on the mandap”.

If this isn’t emotional blackmail then I don’t know what is. I am not justifying Kartik’s attitude towards Vedika and Naira post-marriage and the face-off. It was wrong by all means. What they are showing now is illogical as well. Kartik and Naira getting engaged while Kartik is still someone else’s husband is wrong on so many levels, but again, Kartik shouldn’t be the only one to be blamed in this situation. Goenkas and Vedika are very much responsible for bringing this situation upon themselves.

Any woman who realised the futility of of staying in a loveless marriage never behave like Vedika did. Nothing wrong if she tries to save her marriage? Absolutely delusional of Vedika to think so. And more than Kartik,she is married to Goenka Sadan,their status and the opulence attached to it.

There are no two ways about it. Vedika is a psycho. No healthy minded woman thinks to save something that did not belong to her at all.

About the legality of her marriage,less said the better. Kartik had no right to register it again just after filing divorce with Naira but he did.

So now the marriage preparations without the divorce ...all these happen in TV shows.

And I repeat,even with their rocky married life Kaira are meant for each other. 1000 episodes really matter..It is celebration time.

I would say don't keep high hopes that Kaira are going to have a happily ever after because if that was the case then there was no need for a leap where they focus on a grown up Kairav. I feel for Kaira 1000 episodes was their consolation prize.

I will definitely keep high hopes about Kaira’s happily ever after till the last minute.

Kaira already got first prize by celebrating 1000 episodes which no other couple in Teleworld did.

Consolation prizes are meant for evil minded,jealous ,manipulating,delusional charecters like Vedika but not for real lovers whose single minded love towards each other set the couple goals , They are the winners Off screeen and on screen.
