Regressive and boring track

I did not like todays episode 5/14. What world do the Goenka family live in. Karthik barely works always revolving around Naira all the time. It was presumptuous of the family to think Karthik is getting an award. Dadi always puts him on a pedestal. I hated that Naira showed herself being miserable for getting an award. She looked so unprofessional. It is good that they are showing having her own interests and frankly I don't care what Karthik or his family thinks. Why does Naira have to act like she is walking on eggs around Karthik. Is his ego so fragile? What is the message? It's a sin for a woman to have her own identity, have her own career, and be successful?

For one thing Naira should feel so blessed that she got such an opportunity so quickly. Instead of being grateful she keeps having to worry about what Karthik and his family thinks. I think this is pathetic. She doesn't value what she has. People work many years and don't get such opportunities. She got lucky. I can't stand Dadi and this regressive attitudes. Whatever happened to nayi soch?

I for one am glad Karthik got a reality check because he really needs it since his ego is so inflated by Dadi. The whole track is so foolish.

This track is totally senseless for me. The whole premise is wrong. Naira was never a designer, out of nowhere, she became one and now is amongst the best designers of India?

Secondly, Goenkas own a business, Mihir is a designer with his own boutique. Mihir isn’t even based in Udaipur because Naira said before the souq that he’s currently visiting the city. Anyways, point being, Kartik and Mihir competing is so stupid. Mihir’s clients making fun of Kartik when his clients demanded traditional designs and using words such as mediocre seems so uncalled for.

Goenkas are really ignorant. Don’t know how they are running an empire, which was failing a couple of weeks ago, for so many years. They didn’t once enquire who the award was for?

However, now that I am thinking, the magazine people did say it was for upcoming entrepreneurs. They changed it to designers during the event. This is on the writers just to create confusion.

Kartik is actually being supportive till now. Unlike the promos where it was hinted that he will get jealous or insecure, he hasn’t gotten jealous of Naira’s success at this point. He’s jealous of the fact that another man is guiding her, which isn’t better but people like to think it’s cute. That’s very Kartik like though. He likes it when he’s the one guiding Naira and loses it when another man helps her. For example, during JKG track, he got annoyed when Naira approached her brother for help. In Mumbai track, during the MMS controversy, he hated the fact that Naira went to Kunal for help and not him. His character has always been dominating in a way and this is his way of controlling Naira. He will allow her to fly but yet restrict her somehow. These are character flaws which are portrayed as love and care in the show.

As for the award, I get his disappointment because any person would feel let down if then were expecting something and at the last minute, they learn they are not getting it, but at the same time, it looked foolish because how can you attend an event, do a photo shoot for a magazine, and be this ignorant.

I would have liked it if they went to the award show knowing Naira was wining it (idk how considering she literally joined the field a week ago) and would have rejoiced for her success. Naira was made to act as if it was a crime that she got an award and not Kartik.

As far as regressive thinking is concerned, going by the segments, this is really just the beginning. Apparently, Naira would even be accused of spending a night with MK which is beyond cheap. If that happens, Kaira should leave the house, immediately (assuming that Kartik wouldn’t question Naira himself). I don’t understand how Bhavna and other writers can come up with such cheap writing. They are career-women themselves, and for them to show, that if a girl steps out of her house she would be accused of having illegitimate relationships is repulsive. How many times would Naira have to fight for her character? Dadi, like always, would spit shit but wouldn’t be questioned because she’s old and she loves Kittu. I honestly can’t wait for this track to be over.

It's a sin for a woman to have her own identity, have her own career, and be successful? - This question need to be answered immediately. Otherwise this show nothing but a pathetic drama as per current plot.

Kdadi obviously most pathetic character kartik wont get affected by whatever success naira getting by his own feeling but Kdadi will make sure to bring such thought on his head and will create trouble in their relationship in the name of saving their relation.

Kdadi is most envious character in naira's life, she is jeleous of naira I don't know why naira has so much love for this old lady, damn I don't want to see yet another JKG track.

Better naira should leave this udaipur from everyone for some peace of mind.

What did i just see..promo of yr..kartik asking her were you there with that man that night and naira shattered and said yes in anger and walks away..ye kya ho gaya ? Kittu? Kitttu didnt trust naira ? Very weird ! Again separation divorce shadi?
