Shuarya quits YRKKH.........!!

The handsome and charming Ather Habib who plays Shaurya in Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Director's Kut) has quit the show.

Yes, you heard it right! The actor shot last yesterday.

A friend close to Ather informs us, "He has been playing the character for five years now without any growth. Definitely Shaurya's character had importance but then it always had a sideline factor. Everybody wants to grow and it was the right time for him to move to better projects."

"He is doing quite well in Punjabi films and hopefully he will bag something in TV and Bollywood too. The sole reason of his leaving the show was the character's stagnancy and age factor. He is very young and playing a father was getting difficult for him, and with another leap on the lines it was impossible for him to carry on," adds the friend.

When we called up Ather he refused to comment and asked us to call later.

Another source from the sets added that Ather shot for his last scene yesterday and the entire cast bid him a tearful farewell. He had a great rapport with everyone and was fun to be around. The cast and crew will definitely miss him a lot.

The actor's replacement is yet to be finalised.
