The 1,100 episodes plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Director's Kut Productions), is currently going through a rough phase as far as the story of Naitik (Karan Mehra) and Akshara (Hina Khan) is concerned.
The couple hasn't had enough time to spend with each other pertaining to their busy working schedule. In fact, having a child (Duggu), to look after too, is coming as a big hindrance in their relationship.
As seen so far, Akshara and Naitik were trying to be around each other but soon they will realise that slowly and steadily they are drifting apart. In fact, with each passing day, the distance in their relationship is just widening.
"It's not just them who will realise this, but their families will also learn about it now," says a source.
Furthermore, they will see the couple upset all the time. This will become a matter of concern for one and all.
Whether the couple will manage to solve the issue, is something for the audiences to wait and watch.
When we contacted Karan, he said, "Yes, we haven't been able to spend time together and this is definitely creating a gap in the relationship."
