A polite appeal for change in Akshra's attitude!

Hi friends! Dis is my very first post for yrkkh. I have watched the show since its inception, and always liked it for its relevant concept, amazing focus and the simplicity in character portrayal. I appreciate Heena khan for her gracious screen presence and the over the years grooming of her demeanour makes me wonder. I like the portrayal of Maheshwari clan and specially the character of Vishambharnath and dadi. But I strongly opine dat over the years they have changed rather developed Akshra's character but much to my annoyance they have kept it 'submissive' We have never seen her standing firmly for 'herself' for her very individuality and 'her own rights' when it comes to Gaytri the equation is quite disturbing! No doubt Gaytri loves and admires her but still she cynically fails to accept that Akshra too can have her own way in life. I just saw once, the way I wanted and dats if you remembr) during Rashmi wedding prep. Gaytri as usual blamed Akshra instead Rashmi and she uttered (for my woner) Ma, maine ky

I watch YRKKH every day...and at the end of each episode it makes me wonder is it for real?? Does it happen in real life? Is there any girl like Aksara or is there a single couple like Aksara-Naitik or Gayatri_Raj banna or Rajashri-Vishambhar in real??? Nobody gets mad or angry ..neither fights...never ever..is it real??? Still, I like to watch it...even though I totally feel it can't be real.

For what you said about couples:
I think the show does show the couples often fighting, or having little conflicts.
It is not that Naksh never fought with each other, they had a lot of conflicts in the first year of marriage, big and small both. Rashmi and Nandani also had major misunderstandings in their marriages. Even Shaurya-Varsha had a misunderstanding over the model girl.

And I think the level of relationship btw a husband and wife that they potray is very real. In reality, each couple has to go thru a tough time initially to settle things between themselves. And the petty fights continue thruout the life. But the love and care should not diminish and I think this is what they have shown in the show. Hope you agree. 😊

Hello Amberpreet, I quite agree with what you said. But if you think of real life, people's habits can change but their nature does not. So is the case with Akshara. She has a submissive nature esp when it comes to G3. I sometimes joke around that the dearest person for Akshara on earth is her sasoo maa G3. 😆
But this is how Akshara is which sometimes gets annoying for the viewer to watch. She is actually like her mom RJ due to her brought up probably. RJ is also always seeking forgiveness from her husband. So we will have to accept that they have a submissive nature and probably such people being too good hearted never learn to stand up for themselves. Although it's said that a mother can always take stand for hr children but Akshi is not even doing this so u can imagine the height of her love with G3.
