here are the rules

1. The 'Star Parivar Awards, 2012' is an award show wherein the winners for four categories as mentioned herein below will be selected by the viewers on the basis of voting during the Voting Period (as defined herinbelow). The winner in each category shall be selected on the basis of cumulative votes polled through the Period via SMS, internet and IVR.
The Poll shall commence from February 10, 2012 at 00:00:01 hours Indian Standard Time ("IST") upto February 25, 2012 at 11:59:59 hours IST ("Period"). on the channel STAR Plus ("Channel"). The timings date and manner of promotions are subject to change at the Channels/STAR India's discretion.
2. All information pertaining to the Poll such as the nominees, the categories, the manner and mechanism for voting shall be made available to the viewers via the astons which shall be telecast on the Channel.
3. To participate in the Poll each viewer(s) has to vote for one nominee out of the five (5) nominees in the following categories
(i) favourite patni,
A. Pratigya
B. Sandhya
C. Suhana
D. Jeevika
E. Akshara

(ii) favourite Pati,
A. Sooraj
B. Viren
C. Naitik
D. Krishna
E. Ishaan

(iii) favourite Jodi ,
A. Khushi-Arnav
B. Sooraj-Sandhya
C. Ahem-Gopi
D. Virat-Maanvi
E. Akshara-Naitik

(iv) Nayi Soch Kirdaar
A. Pratigya
B. Kokila
C. Sooraj
D. Maanvi

4. The viewer(s) can cast their votes for only those nominated for the Poll. Any votes sent by the viewers for anyone else who were not nominated, will not be considered and shall be null and void.
5. The Channels / STAR India reserve the right to change and / or cancel the above mediums of communication at any time without any prior notice.
6. Each day will be considered to begin from 00:01 hours and end on 23:59 during the Voting Period.
7. Basis the votes received during the Voting Period, winners in each category will be determined and awarded in an award show which will be telecast on the Channels.
8. During the Voting Period the viewers may vote for the nominees in various categories in the manner provided hereinbelow::
(a) SMS to 57827:
(i) The Short codes for the categories are: 1. PATI; 2. PATNI; 3. JODI and 4. NS.
(ii) The viewers may send an SMS with the shortcode mentioned above to 57827 during the Voting Period. E.g. PATNI and send to 57827.
(iii) The viewer will receive an SMS from 57827 with the details of nominees for that category, the viewer needs to respond to the SMS with their choice of nominee by reverting with the nominee code in the following manner Eg. Nominees for favorite Pati: A) Sooraj B) Viren C) Naitik D) Krishna E) Ishaan and to vote for favorite Pati reply in the following manner (for Suraj) to 57827.
(iv) On responding to the first SMS, with his/her choice of nominee, the viewer will get a reply from 57287 with the keyword and nominees of the next category. The viewer will have to vote in the order in which the viewer receives the details of the categories. The viewer will not be able to skip any category and move to the next category. However, the viewer may choose to discontinue voting at any time and the categories for which he/she has already voted will only be considered.
(v) On completion of all the 4 categories of nominees, the viewer will be thanked for the day's participation and invited to vote again the next day via SMS. In case the viewer tries to vote again the same day, he will
receive a message "You have already completed the voting for the day. You can vote again tomorrow".

The SMS shall be deemed to be received when such SMS reaches the server of the concerned telecom/mobile operator. Any unclear/incorrect/incomplete SMS including SMS with wrong characters shall be considered invalid entry and deemed null and void.
The cost of the SMS shall be solely borne by the viewers. The cost of each SMS shall be charged by the respective telecom/mobile operators at the rates provided hereinbelow:
