That is what annoys me about dramas, when no one points out the obvious! I mean, would it have killed Akshara to say "It was great of your mother in law to suggest a doc for us, but me and your brother felt more comfortable with our own doc who we're totally familiar with" - Would Rashmi or Nikhil have dropped dead hearing that? 😕 It would have put Rashmi in her place and sorted the matter out.

Rasmi was a bit ditzy to begin with. I always thought that she was unaware of her surroundings. Family's women lived n the kitchen but i have yet to see her cut vegetables in the show. She was never involved in the family gatherings with her input. Not that i had high expectations of her but she is putting her brother down is a big no no . 😲

Akshara had stopped Naitak when he was ready to tell Rashmi why the doctor was changed. Akshara knew that it was better to be quiet than to spoil things for stupid Rashmi.

@Marhabaa,

After marriage when the girl goes to her sasural, the in-laws teach their own values and way of doing things. How else will the girl know how to behave and what is expected of her. What Sanghania's emphasized about their values was how Akshara will fit into her new house.

The same thing was taught to Rashmi by her MIL. The only thing is that Rashmi's in-laws have a different version of the sanskaar...the very modern, uncaring and substandard offspring. Rashmi is trying to fit in and 'rang ka sang toh lag hee raha hai'

I guess I'm not a fan of the doormat attitude - I don't think if Akshara responded to Rashmi's comments, it would have spoiled anything.. she only had to give her reasoning about how they chose the doc they were most comfortable with, not punch her 😕

The day Singhania's gve air to Rashmi's views over marriage and then the whole marriage ceremony...Singhania's were infact sowing the seeds for all this and what not in future...
