…but only from her show Ye Meri Life Hai

Wondering where Muskaan Mihani, otherwise Mandy in Ye Meri Life Hai, has disappeared? The actress is latest in the line of TV characters to be relegated to the backburner in what has become an emerging trend in television today. On account of the action being dissipated between various sub-plots in soaps, the spotlight now shines on a few actors at a given time; others are left with fewer lines or in the dark altogether. Like it did for Mandy, whose own track has been suffering due to the introduction of multiple tracks in Sony's show. The girl plays best buddy to onscreen protagonist, Pooja, aka Shama Sikander.
Muskaan, who has just returned from Malaysia after shooting for Sony's reality show Fear Factor, says, "I haven't shot for Ye Meri Life Hai for more than 15 days now. Whenever I ask the supervising producer about my future on the show, I am told that my track is very much there and that I will soon be required to shoot. But there has been no development really."
"I was called for a meeting some days ago, when I was told I have a track. I shot a few scenes but then again my character took a back seat. It used to be such an important track. I am sad that it doesn't get much screen space now," she continues.
Producer Vipul Shah offers, "The story has been focusing on Pooja discovering that her sister Purnima was wrongfully declared insane. Mandy's character is like a point of relief on the show. She has always been Pooja's best friend. There was a lot of drama happening on the show which we wanted to maintain. Mandy's character is still definitely on the show and she will be soon coming back in."
Muskaan says she had a great time touring and shopping in Malaysia. Others who were present at the game show included Karishma Randeva and Manasi Verma.
