I think the reason they showed Agarwal approval is coz Naina is involved. Parents will naturally worry for their daughter. If he had a Job transfer and they had to move that would be different. Here he is venturing into something totally new. Even he doesnt know what is in store In Mumbai. Hence getting them to agree makes sense.

V on the other hand has been away and we aren’t shown if she is checking to see how they are managing. And Sameer may feel he just needs to inform her and she will be okay with his decision

I think , when Sameer goes to say bye and take final aashirwaad of Chachaji, he will allow Naina to go along because he will realise that they are really serious about this coz Sameer is willing to leave Naina behind.
