Yes, it is not the same show anymore.
It started when the characters were 16. 16 is the age of innocence, on crossroads where they decide about their career, experience first crush, first love. Live in a sheltered environment of school, a protective family and enjoy their last days of childhood.

They slowly grew up, things changed for them, they turned adults , left school entered the real world in college.
They have to fight their battles now, they cannot remain maasoom, carefree school going kids forever. They need to face harsh realities of life. Their first birthday outing, their freshees competition where they had to prepare for dance without a teacher unlike school where they had lochan sir and kumud teacher, they had to do things on their own

Naina turned 18, her brother made her birthday.memorable by making it a nightmare for her. Her so called best friend ruined her happy life with sameer and they broke up after naina got thoroughly brainwashed by shefali (her so called friend)
she had to face the harshest face of society, when sameer's friends gave him that rishta idea and her world turned upside down with taiji wanting to marry her off to the first guy with low salary and lower middleclass background.

Naina grew up all of a sudden while her gang still remained the same. Naina has learnt to keep her feelings to herself. After yesterday's episode, sameer too will grow up now.

yes, the show is not the same anymore. The characters grew, the story has evolved and will evolve further.
Just.like real life isn't stagnant , the story isn't stagnant. They can't forever show naina sameer running around trees singing songs in school uniform or in vjn garden. They need to grow up and experience every moment of life. Happy, sad, love, breakup, everything.

The writers are doing a great job and need to be praised for the smooth transition of storyline from one phase to another .👏

Superb..well said...There will be more twist and turn and more drama
Chachaji acceptance is not the end...but it is the starting point of there war between Love & Society/family

We have to mentally prepare ourselves that there journey was not easy and CV's will keep us on toes in each and every episode

I am proud that I got this gem in my life...really showing true colors of life...how people react in the situation..how people make assumptions...lots of things

Like the thoughts in your post.

All along it was a beautiful love story as it was outside the realms of harsh realities of life - a kind of utopian story. Now, that their lives have hit various roadblocks - emotional, parental, societal, it will be interesting to see how writers will handle this phase and get Samaina and audience believe in Samaina love story once again..

Admit that the current phase is really painful to watch cos of the very relatable acting of leads - we do not get the feeling that it is a show onscreen, but happening in real..👏

exactly. This show is detailing the process of their characters growing up and evolving into what they are in 2018. I am glad there are no.leaps like we usually have in other shows. They are not running behind trps and are trying to show all aspects of teenage love and its evolution into mature love of adulthood.
We need to be patient and let the story progress

Lovely write-up! 👏

Innocence is lost forever now... Naina lost it when she faced the harsh reality of her rishta, and now Sameer has lost it too. i hope we see both of them also taking serious steps towards career... I know Naina will focussed, but I want to see Sameer also become serious about future.

Both have become young adults who have to now learn to take their own decisions and own it... and they need to understand that decisions that affect them both have to be mutually taken... One sided decisions can cause more damage than good.

yes. It feels real and their acting is making us get more involved in the story .
Love is not lost but naina has to figure it out.
She has to make sure she wins back the trust of both chachaji and sameer along with letting her bottled up emotions out. She has to have a breakdown a proper one
