Bang on post.
I think becoz of timing schedules problem the last week episodes were slow and less coverage of Samaina.
I am gonna watch it till end. It is better than all other typical shows of TV.
I have hopes that this week we gonna get exciting episodes again.

Thanks for the post.
A much needed one.
Being a teenager of same time I can relate a lot of incidents to the show. Never felt any track is useless. Even small small things are taken care like the way how Bela Chachi is handling cordless phone. Clearly shows how much she is unfamiliar with it.
Let's enjoy this fantastic story which is so close to the real life of so many people.

Lovely writeup..sachme 👏
I agree with each and every word...this show has touched some really senitive aspectsvof a teenagers life in such a way that it dosn't come scross cringy at all...

Yes coming to samaina I totally agree...first of all...we need to keep in mind that this is early 90s we are talking about not late 90s or early 20s
Secondly you very rightly pointed out that samaina are for the first time in college as boyfriend girlsfriend...in school they might have been for maybe few days or something if you want to give the FBs a benefit of doubt ...but yeh college hai..already the environment is new and now slowly slowly they will opne up to each other again ,I'm positive about it 😊
I feel those po*n magezines might trigger that...sameer has seen them or not in delhi ka toh pata nahi but he has hanged around with bad company which naina should know about...
In school they got an insight of each others family dynamics..which is still easier to share with a good friend or boyfriend or partner...
Lekin the topics we want to open up about is not so easy to talk about with your partner especially in 90s. So we need to understand that it will be a slow progress...

Well I do feel that they need to balance out a little between only samaina scenes and gabg scenes...but i'm sure they will get there...
I love the gang..they really are 6 different personalities...and I love the fact that samaina are the more mature once but at tve same time they never fail to keep the child in them alive 😳

Much needed post. The show is in the right direction and in the writer's world of 90s. It's going to be like this only. People are so habituated to ekta and yeh rishta type milan fight milan cycle and are not able to understand thw fact that this show is different.
Few episodes will be boring because they are just episodes that would form a base for tracks to come.

Thanks for the positive post 😊

You summed up the journey of the show till now well. My interest in the show is same as that of in the beginning.

Many seem to have this question on why Samaina do not have heart-heart convo. Did they actually have such convos in the real sense of the term?? All their convos were in the process of teens --16- 17yr olds discovering about each other, getting to know the other person well: family background, absence of a parent, likes/dislikes such as writing poetry, stories, sharing beautiful moments together watching stars or sunrise.. This phase was magical as they both fell in love and the viewers with them!!

Then, in the Delhi track, they tried to boost each other's morale and tried to be the support system, rather than dwelling on unhappy events or painful memories. Actually, it looked like both consciously never wanted to bring up the separation phase, as it was hurting them or still hurts - but those feelings have been pushed back deep down.. This phase has definitely changed each dynamic..

College phase - school friends have become intergral part of their lives.. Mundit practically spend their time at Sam's place and are giving the same suppot to Sam - like they did during the maafi/shaadi time. So, we are seeing them a lot these days.

Don't know about others, but I see Sam to have matured emotionally - there is a thehraav in him ⭐️

Samaina trying to snatch time for themselves- it will happen slowly --the physical separation has definitely taken a toll and with them moving on to adulthood, the unsureness too has added to their hesitation to talk face to face. They seem to be more comfortable in a crowd. But still their eyes do converse more and not to say their resumed phone chats..

Samaina and their friends are in a interesting phase of their lives and am looking forward to how writers will show this phase of young college going adults..

so here i am going to put my thoughts about my show.

i absolutely love my show first of all. in 200+ episodes only delhi track was a little boring (and seems useless since they have totally not used the bonding of sam vishu rohan n deepi.)
but even in delhi track, the element of long distance relationship in those days was heartwarming. that tadap of listening to each other's voice, that restless wait for the letters ws amazing and absolutely real!

people say they want heart to heart convo of samaina. let me remind you all that first of all it's a 90s story. secondly, if we look closely, we will understand, that though it's a 200+ episodes saga, though they love each other like anything, this college track is the first time they are actully together as a couple.

"utani hi door hai tu jitani kareeb hai..." this is true for both sam and naina. first it was just naina's crush on sam, then sam's revenge in the form of bet, then bet revelition and sam's redumptions, love confession but immediate saperation, then manhoosiyat... tell me when they were actually together as couple? they will take time to have those heart to heart convos.

one of the reasons i love this show is the realistic approach.

i found many people critisizing the first time vaxing and shaving drama. trust me guys, the anxiety they showed used to be absolutely real in those days. it was not at all easy to just go to a parlour and get it done especially in the conservative families like naina's.

trying to make the wax at home, making a mess out of it and then going to the parlour being scared shitless... all this was so real so nostalgic... trust me! many girls in those days have experienced it!

well, i don't know about others but i enjoyed the sequence immensely!

ye college ke simple pange, ye late ho jana, ye doston ka proxy lagana, ye ladkon ka po*n magazines dekhna, ye ghar pe koi na hone par doston ko bulana, periods ka serious problem hona... all this actually used to happen! i in fact congratulate the cvs that instead of showing drinking, drugs, confusion of sexual identity, unwanted pregnancies and what not in the name of youth problems, they are showing regular simple but important issues and struggles of any common young person.

people want more samaina scenes. even i want them. but guys, this show is not just about love story despite the love story being an integral part. it's about family and friendship too. this is college track and college life is just incomplete without friends!

and trust me. i don't know about these days, but un dinon, love stories were practically impossible without friends. just like mundit and swapree, friends apni friends ki love story ke liye jaan ki baazi laga dete the.

and if ppl are expecting naina to talk to sam openly abt periods, forget it. bcoz yeh un dinon ki baat hai. in dinon ki nahi. we should remember that samaina are emotionally do jism ek jaan but physically they are totally unknown to each other.

I agree to most the things you said and respect the love that you have for the show. Having said that I still think there is need for heart to heart conversation between Naina and Sameer. The way they had during the debate competition preparation in school library and than in class. The way they spoke during my Abu trip. Agree that she can't talk to Sameer about periods yet neither am I expecting any hugs or kisses. Neither any over emotional or dramatic conversation... Just the old innocent and sharing each other's feeling. Discussing incidents from past.

I agree that show is still the best show and much better than the cra p we see on indian channels today but there are lots of viewers like Me who only watch TV for this show. So for such viewers the competition is with the past episodes of the same show and not the other shows. And in that competition, right now the show is not doing great.

Very well written Priya.👏
Exactly viewers like us watch this show only and no plan to watch other craps.
Still it is best show in the league, agreed. Also I don't think everything is lost, charm is still there, chemistry is still there , innocence is still there but they have to plan everything like they did for initial episodes because we compare it with initial ones. They have raised our expectations.

Second, for heart to heart convo if it was 90s era so for flying kisses what was that? If they are taking creative liberty at one place so why can't for others?Think Think!

Anyways, Precap seemed interesting, hoping for the best this week.

Exactly, this show is the bestest of the lot. The charm, the simplicity is increasing with every episode.

The initial episodes got me so much hooked that I still feel like watching them every now and then. Even the bet phase had a beauty in it.

But now when I look back, I find the current ones are not in league with those amazing episodes. Few of the sequences are not getting proper closure. Samaina scenes got lost between family and friends though they are also important. Still one or two scenes of them alone would have done wonders especially with both the leads doing splendid job.

Having said this does not mean I will ever stop watching the show. It is just that when we love something a lot, a small blot on it also affects you and you want to get it rectified asap.

Looking forward to a great week with lot of hopes.😊
