Actually it's not about what is right and wrong but about experiencing the lessons of life.
I think we are reacting to the point of a topper failing... but the issue is not that...in a narrative, it might have been less dramatic for Naina to get lower marks but the lessons are the same... that you when you are a young adult...having stars in your eyes is all good but there is this business of living too..
In this dramatic there are less expectations from Sameer becos he hasn't been a good student but I have yet to see any comments on what he is doing to honour his beloved Nana's dream.
The issues are being highlighted on both sides but since the CVs have dramatised the Delhi track we find Sam's behaviour justified... again my point here.. one will always not find favourable circumstances all the time but one can't be reactive too all the time.
Hi
.
I understand. I might be the odd one out here, but I know toppers can fail. If a person is not in the right state of mind, no matter kitna bhi bda topper kyu na ho, galti kr skta hai. But here all throughout the year, they have shown Naina perfoing consistently. That's why we are finding it over dramatic. But given the reason that she didn't complete her exam, it's still acceptable.
And I agree to everything you said. Nobody has expectations from Sameer when it comes to studies. Though Writers should have at least shown Sameer getting admission in school by now. They both are losing in love specially Naina. She is neglecting all other things. So from the story's perspective she does need a jhatka to wake up. She has to see she has been doing wrong. And her failure will surely make her introspect. Everything can not always go perfect in love. Pyaar ke sath saath aur chize bhi zaruri hoti hain. They both do need to understand that.
But given then depth and purity of Samaina's love, I want the writers to show how they tide over these circumstances by being each other's strength.
