Good episode for me. Both are going through a phase where they haven't been able to come out of the shock of separation and Nanu's Death yet, and they are being pushed into a corner from where they can only push back and rise.

Sameer will realize and remember Nanu's words of him taking up the responsibility. This track itself is to teach him how to become independent and strong without having to fight back. Right now it's young blood. He understands how Daadi is playing games and changes her colors like a chameleon, but he will learn to beat that and get his work done without the anger.

Somani and Vishakha are puppets of Daadi. Rohan the cry baby.. I wish Vishakha had not sent him upstairs and he had listened to the whole conversation. He is so protected and pampered, he doesn't know real problems of people like Sameer hence the big scene for the material thing, the bike.

Don't care about Dadi, but I would wish that Sameer apologize to Rohan for having damaged his bike and taking it without permission. His anger is at Dadi and Vishakha but Rohan ko EK sorry banta hai.

Naina is getting closer to a break down, sambhal ja Naina before all hell breaks loose. Now Taiji will be watching her every move. This track will bring Naina out of her Shell too somehow. Again she is being pushed into a corner and the only way out will be to push back.

Good analysis post.

I keep wondering why did they decide to cast Kittu as Dadi.. her acting and dialogue delivery is so bad compared to the rest of the cast. Also, considering she and Vishaka are so close in age they do not make a good Saas Bahu jodi.

Rotlu Rohan is so bechara.. poor guy has lived an extremely sheltered life. Hope some of Sameer's Street smarts rub off on him. He needs to change a lot before he can have any chance of impressing our Preeti 😆

Fab post yaar Appu.

@ bold - yes yes yes!

I think he will feel apologize to Rohan tomorrow seeing him cry and that might break the ice between them.

I also hope Rohan is aware about Nanu's loss and offers some words of sympathy to Sam. He was Rohan's nanu too.

Dadi ofcourse made it clear to Sam that she is not his dadi... I hope he makes her eat her words one day soon and make her want to call him her grandson!

Nivi aapke thread ki TRP toh bahut high hain hi..

Hum izaafa toh nahin kar sakte par apna presence mark karte hain 😆

Actually despite the drama today's was a good episode and I will say why.

There is one singular difference and one similarity between the conflict at Naina's home and Sameer's home.

The issues at Naina's home are very engaging for two reasons...they are organic in nature and the second reason is there is no wilful manipulation. So, it flows seamlessly. Priti or Naina spoke a lie for Naina's absence and it is threatening to burst open... the issue arising out of it looks logical and seamless as it is understandable that elders can get suspicious when stories don't tally.

In contrast, the conflict at Sameer's is of a different nature. It is one in which there is a manipulative angle..Dadi wishes to drive home the point that Sam is not a good influence on Rohan or that Sam is poorly brought up.
The difference is in the motive..but the similarity in both situations is lack of empathy. In Sam's case it is a Dadi and Somani and in Naina's case it is Taiji and Rakesh.

Dadi's motive is to ensure that Sam does not make any inroads on the strength of blood ties in the Somani household. The drama in that household looks melodramatic to our taste but I just want to point out that is it so inconceivable for a person to try and safeguard his interests.. frankly, nothing about Sameer is very encouraging for a traditional parent to stomach. We know his circumstances and as a protagonist we are rooting for him but let me ask you all... if a kid told an elder, " unlock the phone, I will pay u the charges" it's not going to sound nice until we know the provocation and the backstory. We are applauding Sameer's swag but if a mother witnesses her ward being a bit disruptive on the strength of a mild rebuke.. as mothers we tend to be defensive as we don't like our kids to be rude. I think Vishaka was in such a position in that situation..I know and accept where Sam's anger comes from and Vishaka is blind not to assuage his insecurities. The thing is if she were to just reach out to Sam... he will be floored in an instant becos this guy is severely misunderstood and he only looks for acceptance as can be seen in that tender moment he shared with his mom. Vishaka is too regimented to appreciate his position.
Lest I be misunderstood, let me just say there is no justification for a person responsible for the wellbeing of another ( child) to ignore the obvious signs and I am hoping they redeem her character as time goes.

Nandy, that day will come when Dadi will call Sameer her grandson!

Also want to add that Vishakha today shouted at Sameer bike lekar hi kyon Gaye the tum'. Soon we will see more of her desperation to make Sameer likable' by Somanis which will probably make him see her POV..

The phone call should help Naina come out of her Sameer se baat nahin hui toh mein marjaoongi'.
Only after that will she be able to become his strength.

Loved this point 👏...agree to it completely...

If we look at from an elder's POV or even if we compare Sameer with Naina-Preeti then Sameer seems to be outspoken and at times extremely rude which was not a common case of 90s kids...Naina-Preeti or many other kids of that time couldn't dare to open their mouths especially when they are wrong...Today infact if we look from an elder's POV I didn't feel wrong when Vishakha asked him to apologize or you can say when she didn't become much defensive about Sameer...it is outrageous when a kid says to an elderly lady that 'Oh I will pay the bill, don't be tensed'...And Vishakha understood that if she didn't stop him the matter might blow out of proportion which will in turn cause problems for him...But the part where the problem lies is Vishakha doesn't even comfort him when alone (except for today when she applied medicine)...a few gestures of love and agreed he will be floored...The problem again lies here in balance...Vishakha is unable to prioritize people in her life at different moments which all the mothers are usually expert at doing...She isn't able to do proper justice neither when alone with Sameer, nor when all are around...

Hi
I have missed responding on your posts although I have read many 😊 always find it difficult to post when on the phone.. and tend to see them much later..

The point about Sam seeing Vishaka's perspective will come when he can see that Dadi is wilfully pitting son against mom... Also Vishaka has to demonstrate her willingness to shed her stiffness... the classic chicken and egg story. 😆 Maybe Naina will have a role there... perhaps

I agree that Naina has to first get the feeling of hearing his voice before she can derive any solace and move ahead

Loved what you wrote here...different perspective...

and I completely see and agree that any traditional parent wouldnt like the way Sameer behaved today...he was blunt and rude...

Most of the kids I know who grew up in 90's were in most ways have the traits we have seen in Naina and Preeti...cant lie very good...let alone lying to elders...or talking back to elders...one thing is we werent polluted😉😉...everything was simple growing up then...with all the technology...kids these days are way ahead of their age...in good ways and not so good ways😊
