1) The future tone of show is set:
I think there's nothing to be disappointed for with today's episode. I felt this episode was much needed, it actually sets the tone for what is to follow. Yes Arjun is picking up fight with Sameer but still today's episode tells us that despite of all that it's not going to be full on drama type. Yesterday Naina's VO said, she wanted to go in opposite directions but due to Arjun knowing she has to come back.. come back, yes but come back for the better and not for the drama. Creative's way of telling us for what is to come.
I expected the episode to start at hospital but it's fine. Now what Sameer does, Nanu will also be there with him. That's the takeaway. That the guy is madly in love, that's the takeaway. We have only seen Naina's dreams and being in love. Now we see Sameer in love. That guy will do anything to win her over and this time the conviction will be seen in his eyes. Thats the takeaway.
Show synopsis' last part: "..Thus, begins Sameer's journey of transformation and penance. This show will be a closer exploration of everyday moments that these two share."
The love story starts now!! It was one sided till now. The synopsis for the show had laid out everything for us, the bet, that Naina will know about it and but what synopsis told us is that it is Sameer's journey of transformation. We have seen him change, seen him acknowledge it yesterday, now its time for this transformation to make him experience new things in life.. with + for Naina. And if we go by today's episode's tone, we can for sure know, its going to be beautiful how they explore each other, now that both of them are in love.
2) The contrast:
Naina's voiceover about the daayra with elders vs. Sameer's voiceover saying exactly the opposite - that how Nanu's thinking was way ahead of his times and he had parenting skills (even then) and being friendly. One side Naina's respect for her elders/family by not telling anything vs. the same respect for his Nanu to actually tell everything.
Despite the contrast, Nanu gave him another reality check! "Jhooth ke buniyaad par rishte nai tikte!" That, ofcourse she should not accept your sorry!! He was like, "par woh hai ki, maaf karne ko tayar hi nai hai. Nanu: Sahi hai, tujhe maaf karna bhi nai chahiye... tune ek masoom ka dil toda hai, sorry keh dene se kya tuta hua dil jud jayega?" and then his head was down, hearing, Nanu also thinks I should not be forgiven. But yet, Nanu is with him because he loves someone like Naina. Nanu's support is gonna be lovely!
3) The somewhat free Sameer:
His voice has now changed. Its filled with love and conviction and not with guilt as much. The heaviness from him is gone (post his discussion with Nanu). He doesnt have to hide anything, perhaps Arjun knowing will also help this (lets see how this part unfolds).
When Nanu was sharing his idea, Sameer's VO tone completely changed! The free him! After all those deep thoughts, here's another Sameer.. a hopeful Sameer to his love, smile again! Jiten's voice in lighter tone, oh I looove! Sadiya and him are so perfect!!
4) The poem!
Ah! Loved it! The poet, Sameer!
"Kaho toh ek baar phir, chaand taare paas le aaun,
Ugte suraj ki halki si aag le aaun,
Bas tu muskura de, Aankhon se wahi pyaar jhalka de,
Bohot dil dukhaya hai.. bohot dil dukhaya hai, ye maana maine,
Par dard par ek marham lagane ka ek mauka de,
Ab tak itna kuch padhaya hai,
Bas ek baar phir se, iss rishte ka hissab kar do na,
Naina mujhe maaf kar do na"
The poem is well written - pretty much sums up their relationship so far!
- Line 1: Chaand taare lines said in Mount Abu + when he stayed outside her house.
- Line 2: The sunrise in Mount Abu - the night when they perhaps got a little more closer.
- Line 3: Her love and concern for him, when he was in her room, her concern for him in her eyes. He wants to see it back!
- Line 6: Sameer's VO mentioned how Naina was always teaching him something or the other, and it's significance to him. He also mentioned it yesterday, that before Naina, there was no feelings nothing, but now coz of her, he has feelings and is trying to learn.. from her.
And if anything, then we also know, that the poet Sameer will always make his Naina listen to his poems as promised :D (Dang, that Mount Abu scene is one of the my favs).
I think I blabbered and tried to make sense of the things I took away/liked, haha, my first post on an episode. Hope it makes sense to some if not all :P Cheers! Looking forward to their moments!
