I think he will mend Naina and Rakesh relationship.. he will make Rakesh realize how good daughter Naina is and he should be proud of her.. he will bring them closer and this will be without expectation of sorry from Naina. He will do it for Naina happiness.. he will also put some sense on Rakesh about pressurizing Arjun.. thus he will bring entire family closer emotionally.. I don't know how he will do it but this will melt Nain's heart and she will forgive him.. I think Sameer will change Rakesh by His emotional poem or some skit in school.. I would like to see something like this..

1) I think slowly Swati will know Sameer is genuine this time, via Munna probably n maybe help to clear misunderstandings between them. I think regarding the room fiasco in Mt. Abu, only Swati, Munna n Pandit knew the truth what happened n that Sameer took the blame on himself, his reputation just to saver her honour. Munna n Pandit might convince Swati that Sameer hadn't been interested in the bet from a long time n that he too is not able to realize he's in love. They might tell her about the fight with the bet boys...n Swati would tell Naina...also relate to why Sameer was behaving really odd the last day of the trip...he'd asked her to stay away from her...why wud he do all this if he was only in for the bet?

2) About the paper stealing incident, Arjun will admit his crime in front of Sameer perhaps. N Sameer would protect him n let the blame be on himself only. Naina knows the truth- that's what he wants, nothing else.

3) He might show genuine respect for Rakesh sir n win his heart. I am very much impressed with someone's idea here that Sameer might help change Rakesh's thinking about the divide between a son n a daughter n help Naina earn the love n accolades that she deserves from her father, but never got.

4) Pooja di's marriage scenario: Sameer might come from the groom's side n in turn start helping the bride's family too...a DDLJ inspiration.

5) Visit the temple every Monday...now there is no bet. He needs Naina to believe that all is not over.

I think what's going to happen is that Naina would eventually forgive him...she'll think he is genuinely regretting his actions, but she might think he had no feelings for her. So she would not expect him to be close to her the same way. She might forgive him for his actions but she would have still closed her heart to him. Then Sameer would think, everything is back to normal n they can be the same...but Naina would not agree to meet him alone or call him or respond to his pen tick- ticks. She would not play songs for him anymore or would cut the phone when he tries to do so. Seeing Naina so normal and so distant from him would kill him bit by bit. It's not been 1 day n he's already a gone case. He's missing the love in her eyes n would continue to miss it...that's when he would sense he's in love with her or maybe when he gets jealous of another guy entering Naina's life...then bechara has to go all romantic n propose her...

6) Another option is that full bollywood filmi style...heroine sunti nahi...hero bike rash chalane lagta hai akele...apni jaan ki parwaah kiye bina n then his rahu ketu would tell Naina Sameer pagal ho gaya hai, pata nahi kahan chala gaya hai...kahin use kuch ho na jayee...Naina ko chinta hoti hai...she somehow knows thru her 6th sense wo kahan gya hoga...n finds him...he's sad, angry n in a position to take a rash step when she stops him...he'll confront her why she cares for him n she'll say she loves him...that way Sameer would know she still loves him.
