Talking about Sameer's feeling and all the time it is taking for the realization.
I am now assuming, jealousy tract is on way.
It seems that the strongest emotion for anyone to move from Denial or Dosti mode to love. The moment anyone or Sameer sees the same girl (Naina) who was always giving him attention, being pursued by another guy, that can be triggering point for him.
Jealousy is a form of love. No one can escape this feeling and I have seen many real-life guys in denial mode realizing their love only after the girl gives them cold vibes and are pursued by some other guy.
Therefore, Rohan entry is apt.
However, Naina is not going to fall into love trap again. Her walls will be so high that no boy (including Sameer) can go over it. She will be extra closed. With all the Meghaben issue effect on her and also her worry about the reputation of herself/her family, there is no chance she will give any importance to any boy anymore. She will not trust anyone. Nothing is now bigger for her than her family reputation and peace.
But, it doesn't stop some other boy (e.g. Rohan) to try to get close to her. At most Naina will interact with that person as a fellow schooler (at the same time she will not interact with Sameer). That has to be the only way Sameer realizes his attraction/love seeing the same girl for whom he was in Dost/Denial mode talking to some other guy.
However, it is going to take a miracle for Naina to forgive Sameer and I don't know what Miracle Sameer will do to make Naina overlook his betrayal and to trust him again.
