So far it is only Raman and Ishu who have sacrificed for their family. Mihir too though not connected with the bhallas sacrificed his love for mihika as Toshi requested.
This yug character has been acting like an obsessed guy.now it is reality check that Raman can't stand the sight of him.
Raman has been unreasonable and blinded by his love for ADI and has gone to estanging himself from others on several occasions.
When he got Ishu to apologise, during the accident track. When he faked Ramana documents to make his money..at every stage Raman has finally realised he can solve his life's dilemma and set things on course with ishus help
It was a desperate attempt of the majboor Raman to see his son alive and happy knowing it was an imposter. He had thought Yug to be selfless from the manner he had acted with Aliya Rohan and others. He was founded by the love he carried from the time he was a 250 grams thing. He realises with a shock ADI and Karan had colluded.the ADI he had seen in Yug comes crashing.
A person desperately fixating on someone hoping the void in his life gets filled...this is the healing process for Raman the father.
The way he sat crying in the dark holding Adis blood stained shirt was the breakdown after which he took the stance that somehow Yug compensated Ramana loss.
The revelation comes as a shock how he had mis read yugs intent. It is annoyance at his own vulnerability that drove him to this state that he is angry about.
The CVs can create atleast one episode where ishra discuss their life after adi. How despite their efforts the pain left in the child ADI had transformed him into a monster that had to be destroyed...but CVs will not do that...today I saw Raman a broken father.
Wah!!! 👏👏👏... Superlative post!!! Sharp, sane , succinct, striking yet convincing write up as far as Raman's feelings are concerned... The author has captured the sufferings of a father which CVs failed to establish in the show... A post with such insights always acts as fodder for mental cognition... This post for sure lets out an avenue to interpret the proceedings in multitude of ways..
Raman Adi bond isn't any less significant as compared to Ishita Ruhi... As rightly pointed out, Adi was and is the apple of Raman's eye... The spark in his eyes during the Amma accident scene, when he narrates the happiness of being a father for the first time stands out as a testimony of Raman's UNCONDITIONAL love towards Adi... Another instance which solidifies the same was the Adi's stem cell renewal scene... He loved Adi to an inexorable extent and was grateful to Shagun, his nemesis for bestowing upon him , his first child Adi.. The scene encapsulated the sheer happiness of being father for the first time, an unparalleled, unprecedented and unsurpassable experience since he could never ever
became father for the first time...So Adi was his special and first child, who made him relish and cherish the pleasures of being a father...Alas, he was separated from Adi for a hiatus of around 7 years and this relentless turmoil transformed his love into an obsession and a compulsion..
This unadulterated love and these blissful episodes INCESSANTLY runs in Raman's heart and subconscious mind as well...
Now let us recount the excruciating partition of Raman and Adi...Raman did abandon Adi after knowing his ugly side and atrocities against Aliya .. He stood in support of Aliya and took Adi to task just like any sane father would do... Though Ishita assured him that it was nothing but a momentary renunciation, Raman lost HIS Adi...
And adding to the misery, Adi breathed his last in the hands of Raman, the same hands which nurtured, protected and caressed Adi 😭 in one of the most grueling accidents...( Called it an accident, since it was an unfortunate, unexpected and unintended event)...Raman was struck in delirium, he waged a battle within himself, devastated father vs soulless companion... At last, the father in him overpowered the husband... If we remember Mr Bhalla's assertion to Ruhi, post Roshni's case, Raman and Ishita are parents first and couple next, so he was justified as a grieving father.. (Again whether all his actions were acceptable or not, that is not the scope of this post..)
With the quantum and gravity of punishment inflicted on him, Adi was exonerated of all the crimes, a natural human tendency to forgive and forget the misdeeds of ceased ones. Post Adi's accident, there was an episode where Raman talks with his alter ego and repents for the fact how could Ishita kill Adi for loving someone... These were the words of a father in complete disarray and who was decimated into pieces... Though Adi died once, Raman lost his soul twice, once when Adi raised his hand and voice against him and next when Ishima shot Adi...
With the turn of events, Ishita was back in his life, after all she is his existence and during the naming ceremony of Adi Jr. , they had a discussion, where in they avowed to each other to move on in their lives with the vestiges of Adi, it was an assurance but not an elixir, specially for an emotionally volatile person like Raman... He was and is still sulking...
Now coming to the present enigma Yug... Here, one significant proposition which has to be taken into account is the perception of Ishita and Raman towards Yug, both of them have seen Yug through a different lens...
To make an equitable argument, we have to concede the fact that Raman has no inkling of Yug, unlike Ishima so Raman starts off with a clean slate as far as Yug is concerned... And when he came across Yug during the Rohan's party, all the above discussed emotions reinvigorated in a bereft father 😭
The repressed and suppressed love for Adi resurrected... He longed for his first child irrespective of the fact whoever he is...He wasn't a lunatic , he understood what Ishita was trying to prove..He suggested her to maintain the status quo, as he was appalled to loose HIS Adi again...
Furthermore, the stirring monologue where he clings onto HIS Adi's last memoir, blood laden shirt in desolation and isolation, confirms the fact that he came to terms that the impostor wasn't Adi, HIS blood, but the lacerates of his heart needed a panacea and he supposed Yug to be the magic potion...This turned him to be a maniac, a person in extreme love..
In one of the episodes Ishita blurts out Raman couldn't give the place of their Adi to Yug, yes she was extremely right..Accordingly, Raman was trying to cement the hiatus in his life using Yug but wasn't replacing Adi, a vicarious pleasure...
It would have been picture perfect if Raman chipped in for adopting Yug and giving him his name...Though, Ishita would have been reluctant initially, but she is a mother after all and would have yielded in...
However, CVs did end up making a farce out of the track.. As mentioned by the author, Raman did indulge in extreme acts to amass the love of Adi by making Ishita apologize or deserting her as in the accident track but the audience could relate to Raman as his compulsion was clearly established along with his guilt...
Coming to the present track, the prima facie for the audience to develop apathy/antipathy instead of empathy is the way Raman has been presented...His POV hasn't been captured properly and the subtle moments didn't register in the minds of the audience...
It's director gaffe for failing to provide the impact.. The scene during which Raman questions Ishita about her guilt of killing Adi could have been construed in a better way...Instead of showcasing Raman as a brazen husband, if he was depicted as a grieving father probing her wife's insecurity, it would have created a profound effect...Raman's emotional breakdown lasted just more than a minute and half, with Yug disturbing the proceedings...
And when Raman pitched in for Aliya Yug marriage, it was the last straw. ..Yug and Aliya have been extremely despicable😡 and the same Raman Kumar Bhalla who had mauled his son Adi for deprecating his marriage with Aliya, has almost wrecked the house of Rohan...And his uncouth behavior towards Ishita further added fuel to the fire
Initially, it came across as a contriving , with Raman trying to ameliorate Aliya's trauma but alas it turned out to be a different script as of now... However, we never know if we are in for some sweet surprises as the track isn't over yet but this act of Raman came across as coercion instead of compulsion...
Now after finding out the true colors of Yug, who is a scumbag, Raman's happiness turned out to be ephemeral.. Although, Raman pressed for Yug to be an amiable and affable person , it would be hard to state whether he thought of Yug to be a selfless person, since Yug wouldn't have turned up all of a sudden if he didn't had an agenda... His CEO brain would have picked up but his heart might have defied the logic ...
I don't want to speak about Yug as this is a post restricted to Raman but he gave no hoot for feelings of Raman and was totally involved in impressing Ishima and Aliya...The moment Raman was vociferous for his marriage with Aliya, he started referring to him as Papa and his heart was brimming with guilt 😡
Raman's wounds as a father are suppurating at the moment and time only can tell whether he would have a convalescence...CVs for sure didn't want to make a kheer out of the track but ended up dishing out a raita, a putrid one..
Once again I am thankful to the author for coming up with such piercing thoughts👏👏... I apologise for the rant, it turned out to be a SS 😆
