Thank you for the PM.. A coherently written Ishra story with a tinge of social awareness in it- this was what I felt after reading all the parts in one go... We all love Ishra nok jhoks and romance, which are typical and must in an Ishra FF but you also had a subtle but dedicated social message throughout the story regarding the physical violation of girls- I don't know whether you wantingly incorporated it or it happened but that's beautiful...
Coming to Ishra both of them like always are victims of a dreadful past.. Shagun ditches Raman after knowing that he is just an employee, who hails from a middle class background.. This betrayal ignites Raman to become one of the most successful entrepreneurs... In the process he became stone hearted, cold and nonchalant person... However, he is blessed to have such a caring and affectionate family... On the other hand, Ishita leads a life of loneliness, abandoned by her near and dear for no fault of hers... She fought for herself, became independent and working as a professor... She finds warmness in the company of Dadi , which she has been longing for over the years... However, her relationship was Toshiji was extremely cold, due to the latter s misconception about Ishita...
Ishra , though were college mates, had a very limited interaction and were suprised to cross each other paths... As always they start off with bickering, name calling and looking down at each other but the circumstances did bring them together... Ishita gives her trademark lecture to Raman after knowing about his harrowing past and advises him to mend his equation with the family.. This made Ishita to be part of good books of all the family members...
The fighting scene is chapter 4 where Ishita singlehandedly mauls goons is a highlight proving the fact that she is JKR in true sense.. Why should women be portrayed as cowards and dependent on men for safety- like your thought process.. Another remarkable scene is where Raman rescues Ishita from the clutches of the lewd Param... Furthermore the antics of Ishita after getting inebriated are nothing but enthralling...
I really detest Iyers especially Mrs Iyer for what that they did to Ishita .. The poor girl has been violated at a tender age of 14... and inspite of standing for her daughter, the family jettisoned her... What sort of a family, it is??? What the hell of a mother, Mrs Iyers is, such a disgrace... This taboo is still prevalent in the society and couldn't stop myself from appreciating you the way you made Ishita stood for her self respect. She fought her demons and accomplished herself which is a befitting reply to the society and especially her parents...
Now since Raman knows about her gruelling past, Ishra relationship would proceed to a next level but don't know what it's in the store...
