@red - Krishy, happened to come across this article today. This is something, which we have been ranting all along for quite sometime :-😆😆.

Even the men working in serials are not really happy with how they have been portrayed. While some of these men, voice out in the open very rarely, others choose to mint money as long as possible. That is it.😆

Omg this article is epic

Indian TV is regressive for men and women alike and Star Plus is the biggest hypocritical greedy pathetic channel bc they are selling bulls**t under the tag "nayi soch" bc if SP's version of values reflects nayi soch then truly society will be stuck in its gender divided oppressive era.

It's so funny which actor gave this IV bc in my SNS drinking game - we would take a shot whenever this character had lines 😆

Khair I look forward to the day more people see and vocalize against the pathetic, evil portrayal of men and passively self-sacrificing portrayal of women...until then let the channel and actors promote the progressiveness and relatability of a 17 year old formerly abused & currently uneducated girl falling for an older guy...and it's funny, the love dynamic, to me if done maturely, would've been sorta okay if it wasn't celebrated as an excuse to abuse and manipulate your parents 😆

sps nayi soch is really regressive
in my house we are only two daughters and we don't have a brother but my dad never regrets it instead he encourages us to stand on our feet and has given us the freedom to choose whichever career we want
in fact he even allowed me to take a drop for a year becoz I dint get admission for medical and told me to work harder this time
nayi soch will be that both the parents are encouraging their daughter to fight against the society if the need be

Same here - my dad and mom have equally been my biggest cheerleader and encourager. Parents - their ideas, perspectives, emotions - are both so critical to the nurture of a child.

It's funny bc it's not always men/dad's/husbands who are holding back progress of women but you can see women guilty of the same unlike what tv shows.

Idk this is a persistent and deeply engrained in Indian TV culture issue

But best of luck with your Med school admissions - the field is worth all the dedication and hard work!
