This question is for you. I read in one of ur posts that yhm is based on custody and it is based on raman's life. Dont say that as other than the leads and theme everything else in yhm is different. In the book, raman is not as emtionally strong nor a ceo as shown in show. Ishita is not a dentist in the book and also she is a divorcee too. In the book, shagun and ashok are married and also ashok is not at all evil in the book. Similarly other characters are not even there in the book. So dont give that reason. I have read custody book . Whatever happening in yhm is just to acvomodate that one actress. Cvs and ekta are making us fools. They have always done what they wanted , but in a different manner. And also yeh hai mohabbatein's synopsis mentions that it is ishita and raman's love story. Yhm started from ishita's point of view and her introduction. Raman's entry was in the 5th or 6th episode, then how can yhm be revolving around raman. U cvs have short term memory loss, not us.

Nancy i totally agree with you. In May 2014 when i really got fascinated by the show and bought Custody. The depiction of characters in YHM was so beautiful that i thought how wonderful the threads picked had been woven together. I shunned the book. towards the blending of 2014- 2015 the ploy of the CVs and Ekta became known, Its about one woman who destroyed her life and those around and getting defied. While the parallels are being drawn on the differences between the two wives of Raman, one feels Ishitha has been treated badly most of the time. By all around her though the saving grace now is only Adi.
Bala also has been acting ridiculously dumb by suggesting filing a custody case. The Ishitha of today is totally broken by all the folks she trusted. Adi is persistent in his bid to get his parents together though the manner is typical Bhallish.
Now we will have to watch the former man and wife on the same bed PIHU KE LIYE...
sad transformation of plot
