Chapter 5

"Ruhi.. Ruhi wake up.. See.. Papa is here.. Rooh.." Raman kept unconscious Ruhi's head on his lap and patted on her cheek gently. "Ruhi.. Arey someone please give me some water." He shouted looking at the crowd who were surrounded them.

A lady handed him the bottle, Raman splashed some water in her face. "Ruhi?"

"Pa.. Papa.." She gasped while opening her eyes.

"Ruhi..! Thank God.. Thank God, you are fine. Papa was so worried for you." He hugged her.

"Ishita aunty?" She whispered her name when Raman realized. "Ishita?" He wiped his eyes and looked around when he saw another crowd opposite to the road, he got frightened and looked at Ruhi worried.

"Ishita aunty?"

"Rooh.. Ishita is fine. You don't worry." Saying this Raman picked Ruhi in his arms and placed her inside the car. "Rooh you take rest here. Papa is coming." Saying this, Raman locked the door and ran towards the crowded area.

"Move..!" Raman started proceeding while pushing the crowd when he heard people gossiping, "The truck hit her badly. I won't think she can survive." Raman just have deadly glare to the people and walked near Ishita who was lying senseless. Raman was shock to see Ishita who was almost drenched in blood. "Ish.. Ishita..!" He took few steps back seeing her like this but gathered himself and ran to her.

"Ishita?" He lifted her head when he saw blood was oozing from her head. "Hey Ishita..! Open your eyes." But he didn't get any response from her.

Soon the ambulance arrived there, Raman made her lay inside when the Ambulance left for the hospital, Raman followed them along with Ruhi in his car.

Raman was pacing restlessly outside the OT when a doctor came out from the cabin, "Doctor my daughter?"

"Don't worry, she is fine. Due to the sudden shock, she loose her sense. But don't worry, she is fine now." Doctor informed.

"Thank you doctor." He saw Ruhi through the glass window who was sleeping.

"Sir?" Someone called Raman when his trance broke, he turned and saw a nurse was standing. "Sir, you have to sign in this bond."

"But.. Me? I.. I am not her family. You just give me few minutes, I will call her family."

"Sir, we don't have time. Her condition is critical, if you won't sign the paper, doctors can't operate her." Raman looked on confuse, he just took the papers from her hand and read it where the statement written like of anything happen with the patient during operation, hospital won't be responsible.

"What's this?" He shouted. "It's doctor's duty to treat the patients. Treatment se pehle hi result hath mein de rahe ho?"

"Sir, it's our hospital rule."

"I don't care. Mujhe Ishita wapas chahiye. Do you get that?" Seeing him getting violence, senior doctor walked out from OT..

"You please calm down. We are trying our level best." The doctor assured and then turned at the nurse saying, "You will do the formalities later. Immediately arrange - O blood."

"Sir.. We don't have - O blood in our blood bank." The nurse replied in low voice.

"What? How can you be so careless?" Doctor shouted, he was going to say more when another nurse walked out from OT saying, "Doctor, please come fast. Patient's pulse is dropping."

"You arrange it from anywhere." Saying this doctor walked in.

The nurse was going to leave when Raman said, "I will give her blood. My blood is - O."

"Are you sure?" Raman nodded and the nurse took him inside the cabin.

After sometime later, Raman walked out from the cabin when he realized her family didn't know about it yet. He called at his home and informed about the accident. Raman was sitting near the OT when the Iyers and Bhalla's arrived. "Raman?" Mr Bhalla called.

He looked up and saw the entire family. "Raman.. Where's my Ishu? How did this happen?" Mrs Iyer cried.

"You please calm down. Doctors are trying their best. Nothing will happen with Ishita." He consoled her, but deep inside he was also fearing but the reason about his fear, he didn't know...

"Mr Bhalla.. Your daughter is calling you inside." The nurse called.

Raman nodded and excused from there. He walked in the cabin and saw Ruhi sleeping. "Rooh? How's you feeling?"

"Papa how's Ishita aunty? You know she saved me today."

"Yes I know beta."

"Then where's she?"

"Rooh.. You take rest. Your Ishita aunty will be fine. And if you won't take rest, how will you meet her. Take some rest." He said caressing her face and placed a kiss on her forehead.

Outside the OT, Mrs Iyer was crying badly when Mrs Bhalla trying to pacify her when the doctor walked out. "Doctor how's my daughter?" Mrs Iyer ran to her.

The doctor kept silent and the members gets more worried. "Ishu.. She is alright no?" Mrs Iyer asked.

"Yes. She is out of danger but..."

"But? What happen doctor?" Mr Bhalla asked.

"Who's her family?" The doctor asked roaming his eyes on each one.

"Me? I am her father, Mr Vishwanathan Iyer. But why are you asking?" Mr Iyer asked taking few steps.

"Mr Iyer.. Can you kindly tell me, did Ishita's womb get hurt or affected for some reason before?"

"Ye.. Yes.. When she was in school, while playing, she fall down and somehow her womb gets affected by some rock but it happened almost 10 years back. Why are you asking it today? Is everything alright?"

"Because Mr Iyer, the same thing happened again. From before, Ishita's womb wasn't strong enough to conceive and now after the second attack..." He paused when everyone was shocked hearing.

"After the second attack what?" Mrs Iyer shook her.

"Ishita's womb has lost the capability to conceive. Ishita can't be a mother of her own kids. Or you can say the percentage of her being a mother is very less - only 5%." As the doctor said, everyone looked on shocked. Raman, who just walked out from the cabin just a minute before was also shocked hearing this.

"NO..!" Mrs Iyer cried. "How can you say that? My Ishu can be mother. You test her, I know she can conceive."

" Madhu.. " Mr Iyer was trying to console her." See Vishwa.. What is he saying?"

"I am sorry doctor." Mr Iyer apologized.

"It's okay. You please take care of Ishita." The doctor excused leaving the shocked family.

Raman was standing silently as the accident was reflecting in front of his eyes. He looked at his daughter who was sleeping and recalled doctor's words about Ishita. "Yeh sab meri wajah se hua.. Na mein unn dono ko akela chhodhta aur na yeh..." He cried silently.

"Raman?" Mrs Bhalla placed her hand on his shoulder when Raman hired her crying. "Puttar don't blame yourself. It wasn't your fault."

"No maa.. She put her life in danger to save my daughter. Uska kya jata agar Ruhi ko kuch ho jata..."

"Chup kar..!" Mrs Bhalla chided.

"Maa, this small thought hurting you then think, when Ishita will get to know about this that she can't conceive, how much it will hurt her. This happened all because of me.." He cried when another thought strike his mind, "Maa.. Her marriage fixed.. If.. If they reject her..."

"No.. Nothing like this will happen and doctors said, she has 5% chance." Mrs Bhalla tried to console him.

"But is he able to guarantee about this?" He questioned back which made her silent. "No right?" He looked away. "Maa leave me alone for some time. Please." He requested. Seeing her son like this, she couldn't control herself and took leave from there.

In the evening, Ishita opened her eyes and see her parents present there, she gave them a faded smile and asked, "Appa how's Ruhi?"

"Vishwa.. She.. Ask her to stop worrying about others." Mrs Iyer cried.

"Appa.. Amma? Why is she behaving so rude? Is everything fine?" She asked worried.

"Madhu.. Stop it.." Mr Iyer chided and looked at Ishita saying, "Nothing. You were not fine, that's why your amma was worried."

"Why are you stopping me Vishwa? She should know if, she has all the right to know..!" Mrs Iyer said and looked at Ishita crying.

"Amma? Will you please come to the point? Is Ruhi fine..?"

"Yes. Ruhi is fine.. Her father is also fine. Everyone is fine Ishu except.. Except you.." Mr Iyer said caressing Ishita's forehead.

"Me? What has happened with me?" Ishita asked confuse.

"Ishu.. That doctor.." Mrs Iyer was going to say but Mr Iyer stopped her, but she didn't listen to him, she continued, "The doctors said, due to this accident your womb gets affected badly.. And..."

"And? And what Amma?" Her voice chocked as being a doctor she could easily solve the puzzle.

"And they said.. You.. You can't conceive." She cried.

Ishita closed her eyes as tears rolled out from her eyes. "Are.. Are they sure?"

"You don't worry Ishu.. They said anything but I know.. You can conceive." Mrs Iyer tried to console her.

"Amma? What the doctor exactly said?" Ishita sternly asked when she said to her everything. "But you don't worry Ishu..!" Mrs Iyer was going to say, when Ishita said, "Amma appa will you please leave me alone..? Please.." She said trying hard to control her tears.

"Ishu?"

"Amma please.. I am fine.." Mrs Iyer helplessly looked at their daughter and walked out silently when Ishita burst into tears.

Other side, Raman was sitting in Ruhi's cabin, he was staring at Ruhi's sleeping figure but his mind was occupied with the accident and the words which doctor said about Ishita, he cried.

Emotional update...raman took ishu to hospital...they treat ruhi and told raman that she is fine now...raman got angry on doctor after saw the paper...raman called families and told them everything...doctor told iyers that now ishu cant consived... 😭 raman is shoked to hear that...mrs.iyer told ishu everything ...both ishra in pain...the song is beautiful...plz plz update soon and thanks for pm dear...
