The curious case of Aditya Bhalla, and why Raman cannot let him in.

Raman sees Ishita in everything Adi does. Which means his heart breaks a thousand times every day. Again, keeping adi at a distance is Raman at self preservation mode. It doesn't mean Raman loves Adi less than pihu. But it's ironic, Adi is technically Ishita's stepson. But that's just it, that word is merely a technicality. More than pihu, who shares her genetics, Adi, shagun's blood is not shagun's son. He is, and will remain more Ishita's son than even Raman's.

Unlike Ruhi who got neglected because it reminded Raman of betrayal, Adi represents someone Raman couldn't imagine life without, and this leaves him, I think in constant agony. This again, avoiding his own son, is a means to keep breathing. Living a good life for Raman is beyond comprehension. I think he loves Adi dearly, as well as pihu, and he simply breathes in and out every second of every day, because he can't leave them to fend for themselves.

Pihu is easier for Raman to let closer. Yes, she is Ishita's daughter, but the point is that not having Ishita around to impact her, she doesn't really behave like Ishita. Adi on the other hand was so influenced by Ishita in such a short time, in my mind, Adi, more than pihu, is Ishita for Raman. It's like he can feel her in Adi, but he can't see or touch her. Pure agony.

And unfortunately our lovely Adi is bearing the brunt of self preservation, much like Ishita used to in relation to Shagun and the wounds she inflicted on Raman. I feel so sorry for Adi.

And what a transformation. From a young child who was essentially bargained and manipulated by shaguniya madam, learning to hate his father's wife, to becoming the very shadow of his father's wife. The shadow to his ishima. He still refers to Shagun as 'mom', but it seems so empty. He might as well address her as 'aunty' or ma'am'. But when he says 'ishima', it's as if Shagun as his mother essentially never existed. This child has grown, and let's face it, he got even less time with Ishita than Ruhi, and yet, in that small space of time, he grew to understand 'Ishita aunty' was not what Shagun had made her out to be. Rather she was everything Adi hoped Shagun would be but never was. Adi went from blindly loving Shagun, to opening his eyes and finding a true mother in Ishita.

Will get back to this later.

Until then keep' em coming. This forum has missed discussions that were related to the show without making the post a war zone

EDIT

I never imagined one day I would say this but Adi - I think I love him more than Ruhi right now.

Honestly the guy is doing a good job and my heart goes out for him - what happened in a spur of the moment back then has affected him too only his hurt and pain isnt even considered, even thought to exist.. He managed to have 4 parents in his lifetime but the one who made him feel the most loved and wanted, the one who allowed him to grow up but be a kid as well, the one who could be crazy in her overprotectiveness but who also made sure her kid knew when he had her trust, the ONE parent ADI couldnt do without actually isnt with him but no one understands that loneliness he has cause it seems he has everything - his biological parents, his stepsister who he adores and a large loving family - but the boy is still lonely and is so still trying to cling onto whatever he can hold of his Ishimaa because she means that much to him - be it by loving Pihu so much or by keeping his relations with the Iyers despite the diktat of the family...

He has proven that you dont need flesh and blood to be a parent or a child - you need a bond of love to have that connect.

And Raman who accused Ishita of being a stepmother, of being the woman who killed her child must have seen it in all these years of his son' maturity and compassion, the very woman living on in his child, the son for whose' love he once pined, the son who brainwashed by her own mother hated him for no fault of his - standing by him and loving him with all his heart despite what happened.

Shagun filled Adi with so much hatred that he couldnt even recognize the love his father has for him unless he had the chance to know him, know him for the man he is not through the lens of his mother' vision but his own eyes - not even with the colors Ishita painted Raman in for Adi, but his own...with Ishita only helping him get rid of those rose-tinted glasses that once colored his vision...

Now in the unjudgemental love and forgivness, the understanding that very son has for his silences, who once wouldnt even hear his words Raman Kumar Bhalla finds all that he once longed for and nothing he can now stand. 😳

For his hatred was something he could try to change, his love is something he is working on very hard to resist. 😳😳

Lovely..👏
Yes and the facade put up by raman..his self preservation mode ...fell for a few moments in his drunken stupor when adi was dressing his hand after he hurt himself.. the way he looked at Adi said it all..he saw ishita in him..his concern..his anger. ..his love..it was all ishita..and yes, no wonder his consciousb mind doesn't let adi come close to him...to save him from that pure agony of seeing ishita in him...and worst still ..like ishita ..adi is forgiving and selfless. Traits that would drive raman further down the guilt chasm.

Plus pihu has been kept cocooned from the events of 7 yrs past...so raman has a clean slate with her..he can shower her with affection without the fear of being judged. .but with adi it's different ..raman probably deep down feels that adi also like everyone else holds him responsible for killing his ishima. ..and the guilt just makes him push his once upon a time most beloved child even further away...

Wow!!! Aditya Bhalla-it seems the sole reminder of Ishita to raman all the time.. Raman's feelings r such that he won't open up easily & that's why Ishita is so close to him.. She broke everything he built around his heart..Adi seems to be getting Ishita's traits in every small thing he does & I m sure Raman would be proud & also be guilty every time he sees him.. EVen in a mini scene where he was shown drunk he is still in Ishita land & also the admiration for Adi in eyes speak volume.. But sad thing is by Ignoring Adi he is feeling the pain & also giving the pain to Adi.. Wish they show some beautiful scenes between this father-son duo...
P.S:- Adi is probably the most relatable character in this YHM- from being a spoiled brat to the most sane & nice human being, this guy had an unbelievable transformation..

Nice take Zoya...

Reserved for a detailed reply (Finally, I have been trying not to post, but...)

But before that, I really, really like you because you're new to the forum, yet you can see and call Shagun as "Shaguniya" on your own 😃 👏

Ru-Adi both loves Ishra very much

Both are emotionally connected to ishita cz ruhi met her when she was helpless. Same for Adi, he got everything father family n most important a mother bcs of ishita. Ruhi is angry right now but i believe still she loves ishita like she did before

Here the game begins... Pihu is not aware of her real mother so she likes shagun. But she will feel the connrction when Ish-puhu will meet

Raman - well he loves his all 3 childreans n they loves him too.

Adi - he is his ishimas son... That might be the reason raman kept him away.once ishita is back they r going to be that old adi-papa again :v

All Ishita-Ru-Adi-Raman are well bonded only Ishita-Pihu-Raman are not.

M eagerly waiting to watch how they r going to regain these relationships once again n ishra-pihu to build new one ... Only if cv's actually knows what to do next lol
