Next update done. Clearing PM list before I add it.

When I say that whatever Meherbaan is is because of those who read it, though I sound like a hyporcrite, I mean it. If Meherbaan takes me an our to pen down it takes you some fraction of that hour to read it and then contemplate and understand going on. That right there isn't my effort. It's yours.

Secondly, I apologies for the lack of response. I am trying my best to reply to every comment on thread two. Thread one has too many but let me know if you want replies.

And I'm so sorry for the lack of updates this year. I've been answering exams till May and they haven't been going as well as I expected them to and that has been tough on me.

Please add AraMusesID irregardless if you're a silent reader or a known one - it doesn't matter - but tell me once you quit reading Meherbaan so I can get you off the list. I won't bite you!

Ooh, and I got a laptop. Early 2015 MacBook Pro. Hi-fi. Like Chapter 19 was the inauguration chapter!!

Part B

Raman took charge of the files he was handed over signing papers, reading documents and discussing plans on the dining table as Ishita who sat besides him feeding Ruhi occasionally stole glances at him sharing a knowing grin Ruhi. Ruhi smiled at Ishita telling her mom she looked pretty while Ishita awed at her and Raman rolled his eyes at their antics. And after breakfast was done Ishita placed her arms on the table and placed her face and stared at him in awe while Ruhi placed her head on the table.

"Madrasan, subah subah pati ko goorte sharam nahi aati,"

Ishita coughed while whispered conspicuously that Papa is rude which caused Raman to quirk an eyebrow at his duo.

"Papa, I'm bored," whined Ruhi as Raman signed the last document that needed his approval and as Ishita was briefed on what was expected of her for the day. Raman filed away the last document and his secretariat nodded at what was asked of them. He then took Ruhi in his arms whispering, Let's get changed,' to her while she grinned at him.

Ruhi ran down the staircase a while later, her hair now magically curled and her tiny body dressed in one of those cute little outfits that almost made Ishita wish to gobble her up. She skipped a stair and jumped towards Ishita who stood of the staircase waiting for her. She then did a little twirl flaunting her new outfit.

Ishita and Ruhi clicked a bunch of pictures as they waited for Raman to descend the stairs pouting in boredom when he didn't. Ruhi flung mock punches at Shravan who for some reason was dressed up to leave.

"Iski toh," said Ruhi as she prepared to storm across the room to Ravan puffing away her fringe while Ishita narrowed her eyes at Raman who walked down the stairs like he owned the world. Trust him and Adi to treat Ruhi like one of the guys. First the language, then beating people up. Ishita sent a silent prayer to Murugan to save her daughter from Raavan Kuman.

She lightly hit him with her purse then pointing towards Ruhi who in cartoons would be visibly growling at Shravan. She then quirked an eyebrow at him.

"Err, we were kind of playing GTAV last night,"

"Kind of?"

"We were playing GTA V with Adi last night?"

"And Shagun let him?"

"Mom let us," Raman hawed' at Ishita.

"Raman, you can't play GTA V with a kid around you,"

"You were sleeping,"

"Raman,"

"Ishita,"

"I know of a better place where we can take your Raman' and Ishita' to," he whispered to her as he moved closer while she blushed, smiled and pushed him away quite scandalized.

"Ruhi is four,"

"Abbey oh, zyada mat kar. One day she'll end up like you and both our families won't be able to marry her off,"

"Paaappaa, I am not getting married," gritted Ruhi before turning her attention back to Shravan.

"That is what I was talking about. Tu darpok hai yaar,"

"Says the guy who's scared of needles,"

"I'm not scared of needles. I'm just scared of you with a needle. Sabko thodi pata hai kit u pagal khane se bhagi hui hai,"

"Yeah, yeah. Tumhe toh hot, short, chote chote kapdo wali pasand hai," she pouted at him before giving him a fake smile and pulling at cheeks, "Par kya karein puttar ko golu golu si auntiyan pasand karti hai,"

He narrowed his eyes at her before getting her hands off his face.

"Meri toh kismet phooti hai, kahan woh supermodels and kaha yeh moti lambi madrasan," he smirked at her.

"Btw, Amma was like she found beer bottles and your usual snacks on the roof. Kiske saath chakkar tha?"

He took a moment to look at her, and then playfully hit her forehead, "Tu paagal hai kya?"

"Tsk," she sighed now bored.

"Ismein meri koi galti nahi hai ki the guys you grew up around were icky creatures," he stage whispered at her and she rolled her eyes at him.

She quirked an eyebrow at him and he shook his head in no. She pouted at him and he shook him head in negative. She bat his eyelids and he knew where Ruhi was learning these tricks from. For a moment he wondered if she was the same with Subbu. If she laughed the way she did with him, if she smiled more then, if she said words and meant it or if she was genuinely happy then. He smiled back at her. She rolled her eyes at him turning away. And he caught her by her nose, she glared at him and proceeded to rub her nose and he engulfed her in a not so obvious but obvious hug and she grinned at him.

"This is why you shouldn't marry, Ruhi," Raman told their daughter while Ruhi bat her eye lashes at her father and said that she'll convey the message to Adi bhaiya.

"You want a hug too?" he asked the little one and her head bobbed up and down in excitement.

"You people are too clingy," Raman muttered as he lifted Ruhi, "When did you go so heavy, Ru?"

"Papa, Shravan wants to come," whispered Ruhi into Raman's ears while he nodded at her. Ruhi then gave Shravan a thumbs up and he procceded to convince his set of parents.

A while later Bala flung Raman a set of bag as he yelled, "Don't let the boys down," which caused Ishita to quirk an eyebrow in confusion.

"You expect me to handle these two on my own?" laughed Raman at his brother-in-law.

"Raman, come on. Everyone knows you love kids," laughed Bala, "You'll do fine,"

Ishita who had been fixing Ruhi's wrinkles stood frozen for a moment which didn't go unnoticed by Vandita who kicked Bala to shut him up. Amma took that moment to chastise and discipline Shravan mock scolding the kid not to misbehave with Raman. Mihika and Nitya who had been discussing their respective weddings stopped to see Akka absent-mindedly fiddling with Ruhi's outfit while Ruhi let her mother mess the outfit up.

"Yeah beta, see your kid she's grown up. Shouldn't you'll be thinking of another one now?" said Subbu's mother-in-law snidely.

"It's her fault, she probably doesn't want a kid with all those degrees of hers," said another starting a chain reaction.

Ishita picked Ruhi up and shook her head at Raman asking him to let them be while his body shook in anger.

"She's a girl, you need a son,"

"He has a son,"

"So?" he asked himself then them, "So? So what if we have a daughter and not a son? So what if we don't want to have another kid for now? So what if Ishita continues her studies? So what if she has a career and life of her own? How does it matter to any of you'll? Do something with your lives rather than trash talking about people who have succeeded in life. Please." He said to them before he spotted Subbu's mother instigating the crowd, he shook his head not wanting to deal with her or be the center of attention. He didn't need to warn her before he had his lawyers on her.

His fury wasn't at her or at himself. It was for people unknown to him. It was for reasons unknown to him. And it unknowingly directed at them - Ishita and him.

"Don't you have a mouth? Can't you speak for yourself? Or do you lose your ability to speak once you see these bitches? Stand up for yourself, dammit, no one's going to stand up for you if you yourself don't," he fired at her in the car on their way to the meeting.

"How could I have done anything?"

"I'm sorry, do you want me to ask me if you're fine? If someone's simple conversation hurt you? If you can borrow a shoulder to cry on or if you need a kerchief to wipe away your tears," he spoke furiously, "If you need to speak, then speak. If you need to cry, then cry. If you need to scream at someone, then scream. If you need to punch someone, then punch someone. Do something, Ishita. Anything, do anything it doesn't matter how wrong you think your are or how wrong anyone thinks you are. Nothing matters, no one matters but me, I'll be right here by your side no matter what you. Even if you kill someone or destroy someone I'll be right by your side protecting you. Always. No one defines you but you; you define yourself. You don't always need to be in the right, you don't always need to be perfect, you are nothing but human and you're allowed to have flaws,"

"Shut up, you're making me cry,"

His lips curved into a smirk at her as his eyes off the road and searched for a tear while she whacked him on the head and let out a colorful string of bad words in a language he couldn't understand while he smiled at the words comprehending a few. He played music to shut her out enjoying a long drive with Tu Chahiye' playing in the background smiled at the epiphany of this moment.

"Amma," Mihir yelled as he walked down the stairs, "Mikku ko dekha hai?"

The crowd looked at the guy dressed in a suit who resembled his brother rather than the casual shirt guy they thought him to be.

"Amma, where is Mihika?" he asked Mihika's mother who informed him that Mihika called them minutes ago informing them that she'd be flying to Delhi for some urgent business while Mihir cringed knowing that Rinki was in town.

"Bhabhi kahan hai?"

"Some meeting. She was whining about it since last night."

"What meeting?"

"LauChen Group of Industries. Raman transferred shares over to her and she had to attend a board meeting here?"

Mihir sighed.

"Vandy Akka, we still have legal issues with LauChen who wants a reputed doctor to take over his medical base and doesn't care about other businesses. Bhabhi can't have anything to do with LauChen until Bhai authortizes her control over the medical institutions after LauChen approved of the same, so it can't be LauChen unless..."

"Unless?"

"She fell for it. OMG, she fell for the oldest trick in the book!"

"Mihir, you know better than to anger a pregnany lady,"

"Bhabhi can't have any meeting to attend from LauChen until her next birthday,"

"So there was no meeting?"

"Errr. No!"

"And the secretary who briefed her this morning?"

"Upper level employee under Bhai's orders?"

"Mihika called, she said Ishita and Raman were caught up in a meeting and not to call them unless it was important," Amma noted calmly with a visible Tamilian accent, "They have a wedding to attend and they're working? Mihir, you need to meet Mihika at the airport before the kids fall asleep or else she'll leave without you?"

"I know Amma," said Mihir as he kissed Amma on the cheek and signaled Bala to get the car ready. He then ran to his room and grabbed the needed and rushed out as far as he could while Vandita screamed after Bala to get back here as soon as he could.

"Mihika and Raman, something is fishy. They were talking last night and then Mihika scooted away winking at Raman," muttered Amma as she sat to peel an apple for Vandu, "Mihika is mischievous as it is, thank god Romi isn't here. As innocent as Mihir is and responsible as Ishita is; Mihika and Romi are the complete opposite. It was Raman, but don't you find it fishy that they're both missing now?"

Vandita let out a chuckle that erupted into full-blown laughter.

"Amma, don't you think you underestimate your so-in-law?" she said as she munched on a freshly peeled apple. "A little birdie told me that Ishita's meeting was a trap and she fell right into it," winked Vandita as she wobbled away.

"What did I do to deserve kids like you'll?" Amma spluttered, "It's a wedding, it's a simple wedding and people. Why do you'll feel the need to run away from weddings?"

Vandita shook her head and headed to her room while Amma lectured Appa who was nicely reading his newspaper.

"Right, Vishwa. Weddings are so nice and these kids of yours elope, run away or whatever. Let Raman and Mihika come home, kaan kheench lungli. Jeeju-saali are too mischievous. Raman, he's a sensible guy and obviously losing it. I tell you, Vishwa. You spoil them,"

"Madhu, let them be. Bacche hai,"

"Your baccho ke bacche hai. How irresponsible," Madhu rambled while Vishwa shook his head at his wife.

Raman stopped the car as they arrived at the entrance of a posh resort. He got out of the car and walked towards Ishita side. He opened her door, unbuckled her sear belt (enjoying their proximity while at it also noting her move back while e moved closer).

"This isn't our location, Raman. What are you doing?"

"Stealing you away,"

He winked at her while his hands brushed across her waist as he got the seatbelt away from her.
