I am still baffled what are they achieving by doing this ...They are not even getting the Numbers that they want . Which section are they catering too ?? .

Such Downright Ghatiya Soch that too from a Channel like StarPlus and Famous PH who propmoted this show as New Age ...CHEEE

Because time slot is being changed. They need exaggeration. Over use of Shagun and regressive thinking of Toshi Bhalla will destroy the show one day.

I have seen that video too!.. feel like going finishing off those monsters!! 😡What you have written is so true. The regressiveness of Indian television is mind numbing. There is no positive turn to anything they show.I have written a lot regarding topic in this forum. Such shows need to be boycotted!

You have forgetten, they were punished by so called brainless Mihika. 🤣 ye acha hai, pehle ek aurat ko molest karo or phir uski choti behan kya karegi? Sirf un men se dance karwayegi publicly bas. Height of stupidity, it was!

Great post...what they show on Indian TV is not a reflection of the society or is just a shadow reflection ...however there are still some parts of the country that languish in such regressive practices...
Most of the country has moved on...

Why TV shows this...I was given to understand that the TRP meters are installed in households mostly in northern and western India...and that too in non urban areas...I would hate to believe but maybe this is a reflection of the major TRP crowd society...

For fear of losing TRPs, no one dares to show anything different.

If TRPs were a reflection of metros or progressive cities things would have been different. My belief.

Agree! The whole male child preference makes me feel we women have not achieved anything in the past 25 years. Ekta being a successful women should definitely should be more woman centric in her approach, one would think. But, when educated women promote such bias, what to expect from the underprivileged woman!
I honestly feel the supreme court in India will have to make a law against showing gender discrimination in fictional shows. Only reality based shows like crime patrol should be allowed to portray it.

I am sick and tired of lofty preachy shows like Satyamev jayate are needed to educate people. Such lessons need to be in every show on TV.

Most shows on TV seem to promote this thought - that daughters are pretty much commodities that need to be passed off to another family - so that they can "take the family lineage forward".
What amazes me everytime is Ishita's response to all the rubbish that comes her way? Tear-and-mascara-filled eyes and a hurt look and...that is IT. Shagun - in all her evil Cruella-De'Ville inspired ways - seems more real.

I never quite understood why Rinky got married to Mihir. Why? Why could she not have been shown to go back to her studies, get a job, travel the world and meet new people and then - marry a man who actually WANTS to marry her and is not a mere substitute?

I understand that TRPs rule and there are obviously women to whom this sort of thing appeals. But, what message is being sent out to them? Why can we not have a heroine who does not resort to tears and lectures to stand by herself? Why can we not have an Ishita that walks out? Or at least stops putting up with this insanity. The Bhallas seem to accuse her for everything. And she keeps quiet.

I am so sorry this comment has become this long - but I just HAD to vent!!
