I personally cannot attribute the recent rude and crude comments to Raman because it does not fit into the character sketch we have been given thus far. I can understand the yelling in reaction to the circumstances, but in my the words he said are
For me (likely a coping mechanism that I've adopted with this show), the crude and hateful words that were uttered were all the CVs doing. Why I say this is - from my memory, Raman has only taunted Ishita's role as a mother before they were married when her adoption papers fell through. Since then, he has always respected her as a mother. Heck when she left the house during the Param issue, he dropped Ruhi off with her. Now all of a sudden, how and why is he questioning her ability to be a mother?
Since about October 2014 we have been given a barrage of tracks filled with Raman making characteristic mistakes, guilt, and mini-redemptions (if you can call them that). I pray that after this track, his character is given a bit of a break from this vicious cycle.
Each of the tracks that were aimed at Raman's redemption (Mani, guilt, and now the Adi track) have made him unlikable and to some degree adversely affected the purity of Ishra's love story. Is the road supposed to be easy for them? Heck no, but the tracks shouldn't regularly make people root for the couple to separate and end with other people. The YHM I fell in love with didn't have elements that literally skewed the character sketches as they are doing now. 🤢
Are the CVS out of creativity that they continually want to shove a Raman redemption track down our throats? There are so many ways this track could have been developed - but what do the CVs do, they make Raman a villain. I love Raman's character but as these tracks go on, I'm feeling more and more disconnected.
It's so frustrating that the CVs are so against feedback. I understand that often the audience gets carried away, but doesn't that come with the profession? I've read some of the comments from the CVs on twitter and I don't get it - why don't they make their account private if they don't like negative feedback. All the actors do a good job ignoring the feedback. I keep up with a lot of American & British shows, and I have rarely seen such consistent dislike of constructive criticism by a TV show's creative team.
