It's good to show that step mom is not always bad mom but she can be best mom but why to show real mother is worst mother only to prove step mother is great here they are wrong.

They show Shagun as worst wife daughter in law sister and person only to glorify ishita ok no problem but why they are showing shagun as a bad mother only to prove ishita as a good mother. With ruhi shagun had no good emotional connection but with adi she was more attached.

They could have skip this part only to prove ishita great mother showing shagun bad mother

In KA sorry for taking as exemple again but i dont have much knowledge in indians shows, i dint see much of them
Sautan was bad human maybe, half good half bad wife and DIL
she cud do such disgusting things as faking pregnancy but as a mother she was very good
She loved her sautan's, mean her husband ex wife and her husbands son and took care of him more than if he was his own, she even went to the extent of sacrifising her husband to conquire whom she had done loads of bads things only for saving that child's life, her sautan and her husband son. She was very great mother and both her and the kid bonding was very nice to see even being step mother.
That doesnt stopped that sons real mother to care for him and love him even if she wasnt 24 on 24 taking care of him...
Real mother was the lead, she was a nice mother too, even if she was evil before and betrayed her husband once and that made her husband trust weak on her which lead to their divorce...
As their wedding itself was a lie by her, and only a part of her evil plan when she was, doesnt stopped her from reforming and being nicer later.
I belive both were HUMANS, either of them had qualities and defaults,selfish to an extent and does hated each other as any normal sautans do, that doesnt stopped them from helping each other in needs time, when they both united for that son forgeting their hatreness for each other on side or even such famous situation as being drunk on roads at night...
But in YHM either of Ishita and Shagun are not humans
One id god so other is devil.
I cant see humanity in either of them.
And they cud easily made Ishita a good mother without making Shagun bad mother, and easily make ishita good without maning her do such selfless acts and shagun without doing such evils selfish acts

Problems is that many fans want their favourite character to always be a good and god and no mistake by them and even if they do mistake tgey start to give justification and I don't think so only trp aunties are responsible where on line so called intelligent viewer also want to see character like that

I didn't watch kavyaanjali promptly so no ides about story but good point
