Hey Payal...😛 Wonderful post... and the lack of conversation I have even stopped expecting between the leads.. just get happy when they are shown in a single frame.. sigh!!!

I know, I tell myself every day that I will have zero expectations, but what I would give for some healthy conversation!!!

Sadly, that would be asking too much of the CVs...

I have a very simple kostin.. do they need this wedding.. which has been nothing but a theatre of absurd... to show drama... and it seems to be a never ending spectacle with the most ridiculous things thrown in in the name of story.. Was this the only way they could think of to show us OTT drama?!.

I want the old Bhalla house.. the white bench.. and just ONE heart felt emotional conversation between the leads...

but as you said too much to ask!!!

I read the whole thing. I just didn't take away anything more than the lack of conversation bit. I am still bitter from a few weeks ago.

PS: Gan, I will not apologize for spamming your thread. 😉

They NEED the wedding because the 7:30 audience likes such tracks in which there is high-voltage drama. Bas. That's it. No other logic necessary.

I cannot get my head around the idea of the entire Bhalla parivaar attending Shagun's wedding. It doesn't make any sense.

I miss that bench too.

This is probably eh most needed post today! Both of you- G and Doc, are bang on about what is going wrong with this show..And since everything has been covered and discussed at length, i really won't add to these complaints. But dare I say, I still think that not all has been lost. Yes, a lot of things went wrong here with stupid side characters to the exceedingly nice main character to the inconsistency. BUT all that being said, this show still did touch on a few sensitive topics that no other show has touched on and that too recently- Like sexual harassment, affect of divorce on kids, spousal jealousy etc. In fact we saw the most simplest yet touching form of romance because of this show and for that I will always be grateful.

Yes this whole shagun/mihika/ashok thing is getting really RIDICULOUS..and raman is losing his spart..I mean for a guy who is a hot shot CEO, honestly this whole overly guilt complex does not go well with him. And even if for a second, we give it the benefit of the doubt, half the problems with Ishita and Raman can be solved if they freaking talk!! Their conversations were one of the best things about this show. We finally saw a couple having a conversation and NOT just tripping and falling and saving! Of course the Ruhi part- her bond with all the people in this show has almost disappeared.

However all of that being said and out of my system. I still have hope. Why? Because of those random beautiful moments we see in this show like last week when Raman comforted Ishita after the incident. OR Adi's outburst on his father. This tells me that this whole team is capable of still giving us beautiful moments. All is not lost. Maybe they are misguided now or just confused on what direction to take this show. Who knows, maybe this whole rant by all of us will get their behinds in gear and bring this show back on track. And maybe this is me being overly optimistic, I really think after the whole Shagun wedding fiasco is done, the next track with the college girl and Bala will be played out in a better way. I believe that maybe the current track of Mihika and Shagun was supposed to go in one direction but it did'nt but its too late to change anything at this point. Maybe the writers are just waiting for all thsi wedding stuff to play out and thehn working iit all in?

Either I am overly optimistic or just misguided by the love I have for this show. Whatever it maybe, maybe all of our collective optimism may work in our favor?

I share your enthusiasm Hemanshi and I am so glad there are still some of us that have hope about better execution and crisper storyline. I loved the nuances of daily life that this show portrays, I am so thankful that they show the effect of divorce on kids, a loveless marriage(not now thankfully ), lack of father figure in a child's life, infertility etc. I love it I really do and that's why I hope that the makers return to the basics, because all this fancy frills that they add just ruin the narrative.

Yay to the optimism! I hope it all works out and we still get to enjoy this beautiful show!

AMEN to the conversation! Only if they talked...sigh

To things moving upwards and onwards!

The way they are showing the marriage, its like everyone's life has come to a stand still...for a marriage which in all probability will not happen...itna toh they wouldnt have done in a wedding in their own family.. facepalm!!

Thank you Doc, for being optimistic with me here! I guess another reason why i feel that is honestly, that has to be logical direction this show needs to take. They have to eventually realize that their lack of conversation is the reason why both of them are so confused about what the other one feels and it always always leads to conflict!!

Its like they realized this at the point when they both were becoming friends..They started having conversations and all..But suddenly when they started feeling something beyond friendship, when it became love- the conversation just went down the drain..Should'nt it be the other way around?
So here is to hoping for our show to come back..

PS- and a 5'o clock shadow RKB..I am getting tired of the beard and the clean shaven look does not really make my heart race😳😳😳
