I have been hanging in there with YHM for the past few weeks but with the recent pace of the serial added on to the stupid promos plus the ridiculous tracks, I have finally decided to give up and return when things look better. Having said that, I still want to vent out the sheer stupidity that is being portrayed in the show to hopefully knock some sense into the CVs heads.1. Raman Leaving Ishita for the Sake of Her Happiness. I had to start with this because as per me, this is the most ridiculous track ever. The Raman Kumar Bhalla that I know is a smart businessman who is practical and who knows how to get out of a difficult situation. Forget about Ishita's heartbreak and how her happiness lies with Raman and Ruhi. The truth is Ishita will be forever linked to Raman no matter if he is physically there in her life or not. Just cause he moves away from her life, that doesn't mean his enemies are going to forget that Ishita was once connected to Raman. They will hurt her whenever there is an opportunity to do so. So, why leave her alone to face them when Raman can stand united with her and fight them together. And of course how exactly is Raman planning to leave Ishita without it affecting Ruhi?! The Raman I know would have thought of all these and found a way to safeguard his family from those losers without taking such a cowardly way out.
2. The A Day in the Bhalla Home Equals to A Week Worth of Epis. There was a time when YHM used to move from track to track every week or even if it's the same track, there would be some significant progress by the end of the week. Now, all I see is one issue being dragged for 4-5 days in the name of melodrama and so called suspense. The worst drag we had last time was the Court Case for Amma's accident track which went on for 2 weeks and even that made some of us pull our hair out. To see the pace of the serial now, I think banging our heads against the wall would make time move faster.
3. Typing up Important Tracks to Make Room for Stupid Drama. I first noticed this when the CVs wrapped up the whole Raman-Ishita-Mani track in a colorful cake box and presented it to us as if Raman and Ishita never went through all that emotional turmoil that went on before that. I was so disappointed with the way that track ended but now I see the trend continue with Simmi just realizing out of the blue that Param is a bad person. It almost feels like the CVs do not want to spend time on these tracks that were once actually important in the show just to make room for the upcoming Shagun drama.
4. In relation to the point above, I must also mention Future Tracks that Now Seem Nonexistent. One of the biggest track that people have been waiting for is Adi's custody battle. I do not know how many people still remember the fact that when Adi got his sentence for the accident case, the judge did say that he is going to ask the court to look into Adi's custody case once again. And how about the whole Bala's secret track? Somehow, all that has now been completely forgotten for yet again, another typical serial drama track like your ex coming back in your life or people sacrificing themselves for the happiness of their loved ones.
I never paid much heed to the worry of the die-hard fans when they said that moving YHM to the 7.30p.m. slot will eventually change the storyline as the CVs promised that that would not happen but now, I must say that the change in time slot has definitely changed the way the story moves and how each character behaves.
It's sad to see a show which actually had such immense potential be ruined like this. I really hope the CVs take notice of the quality of work that they are portraying in the show instead of just the TRP and bring back the YHM that I along with many other mature audiences once loved.
