When you were deeply in love with someone, and they breach your trust...somehow that leaves an indelible sense of insecurity in you. Both Ishita and Raman have been burnt by love in the past.
Their growing feelings for each other is standing on the fragile ground of their past heartache...so even a little apparent indifference from the other side, brings forth the fear of their feelings not being reciprocated. Both felt it today...hurt...one from thinking the other doesn't care for his love and the other from thinking he doesn't care enough. Loved this scene.
