Hi guys, I am posting a OS, that may or may not turn into a SS. I've been a long time member of the forums but have lost many passwords so now I'm a newbie again 😆! haha...anyways here's goes nothing.

P.S. updates for an SS may be sporadic so bear with me...

Ishita could literally see the thousands of tiny needles piercing her heart and her brain as Shagun sat there narrating her romantic moment with Raman. Most of the family was rolling their eyes, feeling awkward themselves and for her. Mihika was squeezing her hand and at the same time throwing daggers with her eyes at Shagun. Ishita had accepted that he had been married to Shagun but she never really thought about the intimate and romantic moments they may have shared together. Now that she thought about it her eyes closed and she flinched trying to erase the images from her mind. She cared for Raman, she was confident in revealing that fact to herself, but recently she had begun to feel like there was something missing in her life. She couldn't put her finger on it...until tonight. Shagun had once again reminded her of what she didn't have, she was not Ruhi's biological mother and that she was Raman's wife but not his love. Her heart had started to feel a little empty these days, there was an unspoken longing and angst that needed to be filled. Shagun's Kuch kuch hota hai moment had made her realize she was missing a part of her heart that wanted to be loved by someone, not as their mother, not as their daughter, or their sister, but as a person who was desired by someone. She had once upon a time thought that Subu had wanted her like that, but that mirage had broken the minute he had revealed his true feelings on the matter of her not being able to have children.

The party was winding down, Shagun and Adi had left and she had not been able to look at Raman the rest of the evening. Mummyji had wanted to say many things to Shagun, the woman was always looking for a chance to ruin her families happiness and Toshiji was adamant in building a bridge over anyone that got in the way of her children's happiness. She loved Ishita as her own daughter and wanted Raman and her to accept their love for each other. She knew this would take time but it was reaching the 11th month of their marriage and she was still to see a moment between them that would solidify her notions that they had accepted the role of a true husband and wife.

After the guests had left Ishita started to clean up the living room and the kitchen. "Ishita, puttar kal saaf kardena, chal ja kar soe ja, tu bi takh gaye hogi clinic se aake aur palty ke baad be" said Toshi. "Nehi mummyji, zyaada nehi hai aur kal mein clinic late jaungi"...Toshi could sense the pain on her face as she washed glasses, still in her dress. Toshi walked over to her and took her hand in hers, Ishita lowered her gaze. She had bonded well with Toshi after much had happened with the whole Param situation. She trusted her and knew why she had come over to talk to her. She started out in a low and sweet tone, "puttar...tu nah use Shagun ki baat ka upset mat hona...voh stupid si aurat se mera beta sache maan se pyar karta tha...par ab nehi karta". She took Ishita's chin in her hands and raised it, "Tu bi Raman ke saath voh kuch kuch wale momentsss bana sakti hai"...Ishu started to smile and blushed a little. "voh tera pati hai, tum dono apne pyare pyare se moments banalena. Aur best momentsss tab bante hai jab use koi accept..."you mean expect mummyji?" interrupted Ishita chuckling lightly. "haan puttar tujhe samaj agaye na gal, to bas theek hai, good di night". With that she left to her room, she was almost done with the cleaning but she wanted to make sure Raman was asleep before she went in.

Raman was staring at the ceiling fan, he was used to sleeping with it on even when it was cold but since Ishita had arrived he didn't use it as much. One night he had woken up to use the restroom and she was shivering from the cool fan. He had felt some sort of cruel twinge being satisfied but a few moments later he realized she could become sick and had grabbed another blanket from the cupboard and laid it over the quilt she was using.

He had caught the last of his mothers conversation with her, her back was towards him but his mothers words had made him feel even worse. His growing care for her had been a concern for him in the past few months, he didn't know what he was doing. She was Ruhi's mother and that was 95% of how they defined their relationship. She was the mother and he was the father, their role as husband and wife together was untested water for him. They had gotten their feet wet a few times, but he had stopped himself from crossing the line several times. The time when he had helped her fix her sari, when she had sewn on his button, when they had gotten stuck in the curtain, he would never forget the way her body was completely molded to his. He had felt anger when hearing Shagun today, but he also felt pangs of guilt and shame as well. He didn't mind that established couples were sharing their stories, but Shagun and him were no longer a couple. He had wanted to take Parmeet by the throat and swing him off the balcony and then march down the stairs and beat him senseless. Simi had been standing behind the counter of the kitchen where he was when Shagun was talking, Simi was making her daughter a bottle and wasn't even listening to the conversation as Ananya pulled on her earrings and then tried to grab Simi's hair. He didn't want to make a scene, but he also couldn't look Ishita in the eyes. He loved Ruhi and Adi but he hated and regretted every moment he had spent with Shagun.

He knew Ishita deserved better, but he had inhibitions about giving her everything. His heart was still fragile from his last encounter with Shagun and he had wanted to move on from it. She had moved on with Ashok but never the less they still ended up running into each other from time to time. Ishita was a great mother to Ruhi, she understood what a child needed, and she had taught him that. A woman who had never given birth to a child knew how to love and care for his daughter like no one else could. From seeing the way Ruhi was with Ishita, he had realized theirs was a relationship from past generations, and that these two had met again. This is when he realized Ishita was a permanent part of his life, she occupied a space that was shared alongside his.

He noticed the light from the hall being turned off, so he quickly turned over and closed his eyes shut to feign sleep. Ishita gingerly walked over to their room and peeked her head in to make sure he was asleep and not watching his cricket match. After deeming it safe she stepped inside and grabbed her kurti and leggings from the cupboard and went into the bathroom to change. Raman let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and tried to relax his tense muscles.

She came out of the bathroom and put her dress back into the cupboard and grabbed a blanket and pillow to use on the couch that was her permanent sleeping space. After settling down, her mind began to wander to Shagun and Raman, he took the last piece of flower off her face and ran a hand across her waist that made her shudder. Ishita's face contorted into one of disgust and she turned over on the couch. She tried to relax her mind and imagined she was in the mountains somewhere, feeling the cold breeze run through her hair, making her sari pallu fly in the wind. She could feel herself smiling and laughing, when she looked down her feet were moving and she was lightly running through the hillside. There was specks of snow and greenery everywhere. Suddenly it started to rain, she waited for the wet raindrops to hit her face, but when she held out her hand it was white flowers. Her face drops, she has a questioning look on her face as she stares at the flowers in her hands. They are still falling from the sky and then she hears laughter from behind her. She turns slowly as the wind is picking up, she sees two people, there is a man sitting on a bench, a woman, resting her head in his lap, she is the one laughing. The man is closing in on the woman, she suddenly realizes he is about to kiss her. She gasps as she feels the storm rush through her veins, it's her emotions, they are running wild. As soon as their lips touch she jerks awake, she is breathing heavy and there is sweat on her brow. Ishita runs a hand over her cheeks, her face is cool but she feels like an elephant had been sitting on her chest. She realizes where she is and turns around to the bed, the bed is empty, she turns towards his desk and his wallet and phone are gone. She thanks her lucky stars, she would have been mortified if he had been here for her nightmare. That's what she was referring to it, her nightmare.

She got up and went to Ruhi's room to make sure mummyji had woken her up for school. Her sweet little angel was just putting on her backpack.

"Ishima, goodmorning!" said Ruhi. She knelt down and gave her a good squeeze, "aap tired te?, aap to khabi bi itna late nehi sote na Ishima". Her Rue was smart, she knew Ishitas discipline well. "haan beta, Ishima ko late hogaya, par aap to ready hogay! very nice".

"Ishima, meh school dadu ke saath jaungi aaj, so aap shower leke clinic chale jaana. Aur aap mujhe please ice cream lekar dena if I get a good score on my maths test today". Ishita smiled, so demanding just like her father she was. "ok done...ab kissie do, warna late hojayega". She pecked her mother on the cheek and ran out to go say bye to her dadi.

Ishita grabbed a sari from her cupboard and took a shower and got ready. Mummyji had her breakfast ready when she walked into the hall, she rolled up the paratha and ate it while grabbing her bag and phone. She got into her red car and drove to her clinic. She had known the party would go on late last night, so she was glad on her quick thinking to have Sarika schedule appoints after 11 a.m. She had a buzzing in her head, as she locked her car door. She hadn't had time to drink her morning cup of coffee. Sarika came at her the moment she walked in, "maam your patient is waiting and you have three missed calls"...Ishita grabbed the appointment slip and asked her to get her a strong cup of coffee. She was rubbing her temples as Sarika came in with the cup, "maam are you alright?". "yeah, I'm fine, coffee do iske baad theek hojayga" she said with a smile.

Draining her cup she got working on her first patient of the day. Her schedule was jam packed and she was glad for it, because the more her time and brain were occupied the less her mind was to wander towards Shagun and Raman...together.

Let me know how you liked this and if you would like me to continue 😳.
