i feel like they are throwing little lines like "let's go to the PTA meeting" just so we can't say that ruhi doesn't even go to school anymore. they do the same with ishita and lines like "she is at the clinic", but they never intended to show the actual PTA meeting.

Also the lunch date between raman and ishita didn't even sound realistic. I can imagine them both awkwardly sitting as they never had a lunch date together until now... bad move from the cvs!

Yep! It's more than boring. Ishita is annoying these days with her meddling, while Raman's character remains somewhat real, but even his character is being tinkered with recently. I prefer watching Raman/Shravu, Raman/Mihir scenes more than their so called "romantic" scenes. For a couple that's been married seven months on the show, the "romance" is moving at snail's pace and is a drag.😕.

In my opinion, Ishita's reaction to Raman is downright silly even after seven months together sharing a room. She has just graduated from dropping the chee and eww to covering her eyes when he is partially clothed...she had seen him on his way to work with his dress shirt without his pants during their separation post-Param advances and didn't have a problem then.🤪Hope CVs steer clear of the silliness. They are supposed to be mature adults not teenagers.🤔

agree! i didn't remember that previous pant-less scene when we had the recent one but as i was re-watching old epi i saw it and got disappointed at what cv's are doing with ishita's character. They made her out to be a bold and mature woman in the beginning and now she is becoming this shy bahu who won't look at her husband in the eye. 🤢🤢🤢

As far as I have seen the trp never increases for romantic scenes. It increases only when there is dhamakedhar drama like the accident track. This doesn't indicate people are bored with Ishra. They as usual rock with their nok jhok chemistry.

The morning after Shagun will return to Bhalla house because Ashok kicked her out.

The show has been slowly but steadily losing its zing. Even in April May time frame Raman was obessessed and insecure about Adi, even at those times there would be a 5-7 minute interaction between the two per episode
These days there is less than two. Somehow in order to keep watching we are having to justify every new character and every new twist as "OH ITS A ISHRA STORY, THIS TWIST WILL BRING ISHRA CLOSER"

Thats the biggest joke of al. With Param Shagun and Sanjana's arrival ISHRA have only become more distant and disllusioned. All the heart to heart talk and emotional exchanges during Amma's accident etc have been completely gutted

Ishita suspected Raman of having an affair with a TEENAGER? How is that bringing Ishra closer? I fail to understand. Since Sanjana has been packed away there will be a new character in the next week or so.
Since they announced the 7:30 slot change I know for sure Shagun is returning to the Bhalla house with Adi in tow. Ishita will leave without Ruhi, find herself pregnant (ALL IN ONE NITE'S UNION) and the stage will be set for a leap

This is unfortunately no longer a ISHRA story. Its a story of Raman's ex wife, and Ishita's mission to reform the world. Its not about their professions or their careers or their work. Its not about their intimacy or their love life

Its about a rain or shower scene every couple weeks rest filled with some senseless new character. Dont be surprised if Shagun's Dad, Ashok's Mom, Sooraj's step Mom, and Sooraj's girlfriend arrive in the picture TO BRING ISHRA CLOSER

👏👏👏 Your whole post made my day.

@bold : i really hope they don't bring any new character now... poornima and suraj are enough for now. + parmeet track and sarika are still hanging around. they should do something with those 4 character before introducing anyone else!

Columbia,
I am unable to use the "quote" feature... but we all watch Desi TV shows for various reasons. Some watch it:
1. To draw parallels with mythology. Some how connect everything to right or wrong, Ram Sita karma, Bhagwat Gita etc
2. Some watch it to understand film making better, interpret scenes every which way
3. Some watch it so they can improve their writing skills by presenting analysis on online Forums
4. Some watch it to improve their creative fiction wrting skills. The lead pair is appealing enough for them to spin fantastic tales
5. Some watch it to get lessons in how a marriage SHOULD BE (I worry for them😆)
6. Some watch it for STRICTLY the EMOTIONAL stuff. The "growth" in the couple. All they are looking for is pages and pages of "emotional" dialogs between ISHRA
7. MANY watch it for kitchen politics. They HAVE to understand who Mihir's sister is, when Neelu will get married. Why Shagun feels abandoned etc. How Sooraj and Shagun are emotional soulmates etc🤢
AND THEN... FINALY
8. There is a sliver of us THAT WATCH IT PURELY FOR ROMANCE. Some of us love love adore love stories. With a lead pair as good looking as KP and DT, we fantasize about their falling in love, intimacy and the journey of their love story. I dont need marraige lessons from Ekta Kapoor, I didnt marry "Ruhi ke liye" I have never brought a stray dog/b--- home in the middle of the night. My husband has never addressed me as "sadi si shakal". I strip ALL of it out and focus on the love story...

Thank you Abiramy for creating this topic. It gives the "one percent" of us that watch purely for ISHRA a platform to air our views. I ONLY care about the love story, if that's eroding from the show, I worry and lose interest. Your thread gave me a forum to air my worries.
I wish ISHRA were in some abandoned island sometimes... that way they dont have to be worried about hunting for new family members... every day... or for world happiness.
We could watch them discover EACH OTHER in peace

Indeed. When the characters becoming the catalyst in other people's lives ignoring their own it doesn't give those of us who tuned in for the love story in the first place reason to continue watching. It's important to show sub plots without sidelining the story of the lead characters.

One of my favorite scenes was the "nee yaru scene" it was just the two of them and the scene rocked. Ishita gets distracted by all that goes on in other people's lives and so her time with Raman is limited to a few nok-jhok to remind us that they are still a couple.🤔

for me ishita died the moment she brought a rapist into home..do you really think any girl would do that? ishita is doctor not a some teenage girl..even they dont do this...i have friends with doctor family..you know how mature, decent, intelligent they are..but for me ishita come across as brat, silly and dumb...i cant enjoy her scenes then how can i enjoy the pair?

same goes for raman..for me he is also losing the charm..the action and dialogues he did on friday gives bad taste..what he told shagun is bechari? i m not having any problem with asking mihir to move on..but the problem is the reason? with in one day he forgot all her actions? then what is the need for him mourning all these years..it destroyed all his actions in the past...now a days he is behaving like a person i cant recognize ..i cant believe he cant do anything other than some silly plans to get rid of param.. now supporting shagun..even after ishita doing some silly things not taking any attempt to speak with ishita or make understand her..

this is the reason i cant connect with their characters and also the pair..i think most of the viewers also feeling like this only..giving romantic scenes cvs want to divert viewers..but all i want is some emotional and honest conversation not a shower, rain dance or pinning wall romance..

@highlighted...The are supposed to be a mature couple, Raman being a man who was once married with two children, and Ishita in or approaching her 30s. CVs seem to dip into the same pot to come up with romantic scenes...the need to get creative with showing them as a mature couple in love.
