Happy Readin'!

"Yes, be ready!" Ishita read the text and smiled. Bala's mother had organized a pooja for Vandita and her unborn baby along with a small get together to celebrate. Bala especially requested the Bhalla's for their presence and they reluctantly agreed. Ishita wasn't sure if Raman would like to attend it and so getting a confirmation text from him made her happy. She very well remembered the last encounter of Bala's mother with the Bhalla's. To be specific, Ruhi Bhalla and Raman Bhalla. Ishita smiled a tear, as she recalled how her li'l angel had subdued Bala's mother and everyone for calling her Ishi Maa, barren.
"Oye! Ishita.." Mrs.Bhalla called out, snapping Ishita out of her thoughts.
"Ji, Mummy ji.." Ishita came out of her room and noticed everyone was ready to leave.
"Hum log nikalte hain, tu Raman ke saath aa jaana" Mrs.Bhalla stated. Ishita nodded in response and with that, everyone left.

Raman came home and used his keys to open the door 'cause he thought no one's at home as he didn't find Ishita's car in the parking.
"Jab wait karna hi nai tha toh poochha kyun ki main chaloonga ya nai?" He muttured to himself and directly marched towards his room. As soon as he opened the door, the sight infront of him was simply enthralling and his anger seem to flew away from the window.
His wife was standing infront of the mirror, fumbling with the dori of her backless blouse, which revealed a vast expanse of her creamy skin. He walked up to her and looked at her reflection in the mirror. She failed to notice his slient steps as her eyes were closed due to annoyance, her dori caused. Some frown lines appeared on her forehead which Raman wanted to vanish right away. Her hairdo was simple yet stylish. Dolled in a white and baby pink, double shade saree, Ishita was looking like a pretty fairy, coming straight out of a fairy tale. "Ruhi ki book waali fairy ki xerox lag rahi hai.. kya baat hai!" He mumbled to himself while holding his chin between his thumb and index finger. His mumbling made Ishita open her eyes with a jolt. She saw Raman through mirror with confusion.
Raman raised his eyebrows in response to her confused expressions. "Aap ander kaise aaye?" Ishita asked.
"Khidki se.." He snapped.
"Seedhe muh toh kuchh bol hi nai sakte na?" Ishita pouted, realizing her stupidity.
"Bewakoofi waale sawaal karo aur blame bhi karo.. Wah!" He rolled his eyes.
Ishita opened up her mouth to say something when he chipped "Tum sacch mein bewakoof ho ya sirf mujhe pareshaan karne ke liye aise bewakoofi waale sawaal poochhti ho?"
"Ho gaya?" Ishita folded her arms across her chest.
"Hmm.." He shook his head "Mera toh ho gaya par tumhara abhi tak nai hua.." He gestured towards her dori, which was still untied. As soon as the realization hit Ishita, she immediately tried to turn but Raman was quick to hold her shoulders, refraining her from doing so.
"Ravan Kumar phir sunayega ki mujhe dhang se kapde pahen'ne nai aate.." Ishita thought to herself and squeezed her eyes shut as she remembered, how Raman had unpinned her hair infront of those workers. She was waiting for his taunts but his action surprised her. She felt his hands on her back, which made her open her eyes. She looked at him for few seconds, his concentration was on her dori but as soon as he looked up and locked his eyes with her, through mirror, she lowered her gaze. A blush tiptoed her cheeks as his fingers brushed her skin while tying the dori. Raman kept looking at Ishita's blushing reflection in the mirror and a dreamy smile appeared on his face, seeing his effect on her.
"Is it.. is it done?" Ishita asked softly, composing herself.
"Haan.. hmm.." Raman nodded and silently thanked his stars for saving him from getting caught. He purposely took more than needed time, for tying the dori 'cause seeing his Jhansi ki Rani, blushing was something he could behold forever.
"Aap change kar lijiye, phir chalte hain.." Ishita said and recieved a positive nod from Raman in response.

As Raman wheeled the car, his cell rang. He chose not to pick as Bala's name flashed on the screen.
"Phone uthao.." Ishita gestured him to recieve the call.
"Bala ka hai..ab chal hi rahe hain toh kyun uthaun?" Raman replied with his gaze fixed on the road. Ishita just shook her head in response. Bala kept calling both of them but none answered as Raman switched his cell to silent mode and Ishita left her cell at home in rush.
When they reached Bala's home, they found Bala standing outside, waiting for them with a tensed face. "Why didn't you guys answer my calls? asked a worried Bala.
"We were on our way so isliye and hua kya? Ab toh pahunch gaye na.. thoda hi toh late hain yaar.." Raman patted Bala's shoulder.
"It's not that Raman!" Bala pinched his forehead. "Anyways, come inside."
