Umm, I went to school in the U.S. and you were not even allowed to bring your phone to school and if you did the teacher would take the phone and you would be in detention..

Up here they always call parents when you try to assault the teacher and talk back to him.

school is not jail in India or anywhere. I don't think teaching kids how to respect education can be termed as jail.

Agree, I too attended 12th in US and no cell phones allowed in class and if any such incident took place like with adimanav, parents have to come.
Not just school but even in college phones have to be on silent mode unless an emergency. Only few prof allowed text as he himself did it 🤪

So teaching respect and proper attention during class is jail 😕

There's a thing called Basic Etiquette...which are required no matter where you are in the world and these are which Adi lacked. It does not mean the school becomes a Jail if Kids are taught to learn basic etiquettes and discipline in school.

I finished my schooling in Australia and we weren't allowed mobiles and other electronics in class either until year 10, though only for educational purposes.

Well, I don't live in India but in Bangladesh. But we are in same sub continent, so I guess many rules are almost same in both countries. In BD too mobile phones are not allowed before university. Even in university we are asked to switch off our phones during our classes.
Adi is a kid, he shouldn't have mobile at this age for any reason. The principal did the right thing. CVs did a great job by showing Adi's diminishing character and making Raman realizing his faults to make parents as viewers aware of their children's behavior.

Yeah...that's really stupid of him using it infront of everyone as it is against rules. But, well that's too also a bad thing. He is doing another bad thing to hide the 1st one.
Whatever, countrywise rules vary😊.

Umm I'm sorry but i'm 24 and living in Canada and I didn't get my first phone till I was able to pay off my own phone bill...which I wasn't able to do till I was in 2nd year university (at 19). I grew up using payphones to call home. Unless there's a need, I don't think that a kid who is 10-18 needs a cell phone and especially when they are going to school. Sorry if anyone disagrees with me, but that's the way that I was raised🤔
