Raman knows Shagun has manipulated him using Adi and he is feeling helpless about it. It in only in experiencing those feelings he's tucked away from his past can he now free himself to build a healthier relationship with Ishu.
He is also guarded with Ishu bec' of his past, he's trying to protect himself. Yet he finds himself being drawn to her...even if he calls her Jhansi ki Rani and finds ways to tease her. It's his way of flirting with her, and Ishu loves his Ravan Kumar avathar too.
The recent events are awakening him to the truth that he can't carry the hurt and pain of the past into his present life with Ishu. His marriage has only just begun and they are learning about each other and he knows she deserves better. Even in that drunken state, the idea that Ishu may hate him "Tum mujse nafrat karthi ho na?"was tearing him up inside.
Ishu's feeling hurt and betrayed by Raman's lies at the moment. It's not in her character to want to hurt Raman. She has had some painful experiences of her own and she values people today in spite of it. Even though she told Raman to stay away from her she can't help but take care of him...asking Neelu to bring nimbu paani for him and making sure his clothes are ready for him. Love is not a switch that we can on and off at will. Love is acceptance. When a person is feeling hurt, it's because they care or they would have been indifferent. Even in a marriage we tend to reflect our own state of mind on our partners.
