What I feel is Shagun and Mihir are siblings. Their parents would have died when they were young. The Bhallas would have brought up Shagun and Mihir.

There is one episode in the beginning of yhm in which mihir is buying a bracelet for mihika when raman asked him for whom you buyin this, mihir says for my mom..i am really confused as he says he has no family..

hahha, Shagun Mihir may be siblings, but nothing like the Bhallas brought them up. Shagun and Ramans was an arranged marriage, shagun's parents had come with the rishta, i clearly remember the flashback...

but Mihir might be young, so Raman has been his guidance eversince.
