That was the initial reaction I had along with many of you guys in this forum. But today's pre cap clarified a BIG inspirational point for me, i.e. Why should she be?
Yes, it is the norm that a girl gone through sexual harassment/rape is usually depressed and recluse but Ishita showed us that it should not be the case. She was a victim once but she doesn't have to be a victim for her whole life! That doesn't define her AT ALL. Parmeet was the culprit and he should be the one repenting 9of course, he isn't) but HIS actions doesn't/will not/ should not define Ishita's life and she has every right to go back to normal (a thing all girls should learn from her).
Todays precap was amazing! I was literally crying and clapping when Ishita ne 'muh tosh nawab diya" to Parmeet! She has always been portrayed as a strong woman and she knows that her purity and character cannot be tainted by a disgusting maggot like Parmeet; she is the ONLY person who directs her character/purity/ personality and as long as her thinking of herself has not changed, her behavior/mood will not change. She doesn't blame herself and yes, no one should!!!!
I am amazed! Its not like we didn't see Ishita troubled: remember that scene where she was scared to sleep when raman was gone and then ruhi came to her. she was vulnerable there because she was scared for herself. But that scare of Parmeet doesn't last forever and the aftermath of that person doesn't affect her life.
