I think it's important to understand why Simmi is behaving in this way... she is completely and utterly dependent on her husband; she has never lived life in any other way; she is in total denial to think that the husband she idolises could be anything but pure..
We've also seen how Toshi-ji is fully steeped in the old traditions of the ghar ka beta and damaad is above and beyond everything, so it's not surprising that Simmi has also ingrained such a mentality where she feels like she needs a man to survive; she's never learnt how to be independent and so now that the prospect of her living without a man has arisen, she's reacting in the only way she knows how.
Simi reminds me a lot like Anjali from IPKKND, who refused any and all allegations on her husband until he himself told her. I think Simmi too needs to possibly hear such a confession from Parmeet, else she will carry on believing that her husband is completely innocent.

All said and done, I'd just like to clarify that I'm not by any means justifying her behaviour, rather I'm just trying to provide another perspective on her character, so please no-one take offence 😊

I got this character point just too dependent n too selfish n if she has unshakable trust on her pati y she is not tat ready to go with her pati anywhere leaving d bhallas house where her pati is insulted n humiliated if she feels so.as param said he will look after her n child by doing any work 😕

Simmi and Trisha really suck. After all proofs shown to her, she will still believe that pervert and more to that she will tell Ishu that she will break her hand. If I were there, I would have torn all her body parts. Stupid, rubbish woman.

Just a thought, could Simmi be in denial?

After all she trusted Param with all her might and for that trust to be shattered, is not easy to accept.

I don't think so. Like I said, if she was really in denial she would just stand shocked. If you watch the SBB you can see her instantly stopping Ishita when she goes to slap pervmeet. Usually when you are in denial you would be too shocked to react while your heart screams whatever is happening is not true. As far as I think, the denial state is the heart denial not instant physical denial like Simmi's.

I would have given the benefit of doubt to Simmi if not for her instant "patni vrata dialogue". She physically restrained Ishita from slapping her husband and threatened to break her hand. I mean denial is one thing but another to threaten the person who is trying to make her see the truth.
If I am not wrong, the episode where Sarika comes to get Ishita's clinic's keys, Ishita insists she get justice for the things that happened to her. And at that time Simmi was also present and did say she would slap the guy or get him behind bars for such act. But now that person is her husband she is okay with it. She was shown to be quite independent and overbearing by traveling alone with the kid, not depending much on her brothers for other things. I doubt she is one of those meek wifes who is so dependent on her husband that she is unable to see his fault.

I think she feels she has lost to Ishita. It's more of her ego at play here rather than her dependency. When Raman asks Ishita to slap Pervemeet why doesn't she pounce on him immediately without waiting for Ishita to take the step and then physically restrain her.

I haven't seen IPKKND so can't agree or disagree to it 😆

Haha of course I am not going to hold you against your justification. Thinking from another perspective always helps discovering something new. And no offense taken. 😊

True. She doesn't want to go out even when Pervmeet insists.

I completely agree with your perspective. The main root cause behind her thinking is of course the twisted morales her family has, and she has imbibed. As modern women, it is really hard to not want to shake or slap some sense and self respect into her.

However, Anjali was a little different though. The first thing she did after knowing the whole truth was to throw that cheapskate out of the house. And divorce him. Simmi is too stuck up and dependent to do that. I want to empathise with her, but she's making it really hard. I wouldn't live with a cheating husband, forget one who tried to rape not one but two women. That is taking nonchalance, pativrata, retrogressive behavior and denial a bit too far!

Agree with your post! 😊
Simmi was annoying yesterday based on her taunts about Ishita to Raman once Ishita left. I was so happy when Raman very calmly defended Ishita and stood his ground in front of Simmi.
