Please let me know what you think
My initial reactions:
Raman's actions:
What is this man? He is first angry that she left the house because he spent the night with Shagun (which wife wouldnt btw), then he is angry that she is in jail, then he is angry that she called Bala and finally because she ain't telling him anything? What did the CVs do to my Raman 😭
Ishita's actions:
Is she just stupid? Why couldnt she have called Bala/Raman/Vandu/amma/appa... ANYONE. She could have run to the iyers, closed the doors. SHe could have run to the neighbours. And when in the police station, why did she not tell him anything? She was so desperate to talk to him yesterday. Well now, she had the chance and the time and the privacy.
After taking some time to digest the episode, here's what I thought:
Raman:
He had every right to be angry that she left the house: Ishita is someone who has always been sensible. She knows as well as him that its not a regular marriage, and she's never cared about him that way before. Leaving home for such a silly reason, was just, well Silly.
When he saw her in jail... I dont think he was angry at her. I think he was generally angry at the situation. He is someone, who usually has everything under control. Knows what is happening around. Not here, not in this situation. He is flabbergasted that his wife is here. Morever, she isnt telling him anything. He wasnt angry. I think he was just exasperated. WHen he saw Bala too, he wanted someone to get the truth out of her.
Ishita:
She isnt stupid. She has always been shown to be someone who does the right thing (ALWAYS). Even if Bala committed murder tomorrow, she would drag him to the police herself. Inherently, such people believe that everyone else will also do the right thing. Thats her nature. This is what may have happened: she goes to the police to file a complaint (again, because that is the right thing to do) and gets trapped in lies. That was her first lesson. She trusted Sarika to do the right thing, just because she also went through the same ordeal as Ishita. Once she understood the gravity of that betrayal, she had time to compose herself. NOtwithstanding the trauma she just went through, she had a few hours to be alone in the jail cell. She had time to think. And her rational mind just came to the conclusion that she had to expose Param. The only way to do that would be to declare what he has done, in front of everyone.
As to why she did not tell Raman beforehand, I have 2 theories:
she would have been blamed for 'aag lagaana' if she told him alone and second, I think she was in a rush to get home. because her Inner Jhansi ki Rani was more worried about serving justice to Param than taking solace in Raman. I dont think she would have imagined, even in a million years that she wouldnt be believed. That would have been against her nature.
Hope I havent overanalysed😆
