Here is my view on Shagun! So take a look at it...!!
From the past,
Shagun is a kind of an independent girl who dreamt of having a fairly tale life and also she herself created an image of her to be husband and decided to enjoy the life with him to the fullest!! And on the other side, we have Raman who is quite a timid, introvert and kind of a guy who loves to live in his own cocoon!! So when these two different personalities had a marriage alliance, their dreams got almost shattered!! When married to Raman, she kinda felt difficult to cope up with the environment she has to live in for the rest of her life!! In the process, she used to built constant pressure on Raman to make her happy and satisfy her needs!! When they had kids, all her insecurities took the front line and she almost felt helpless to live with Raman who is so occupied with his beliefs and convictions!! Though Raman tried his best to make Shagun happy she neither able to see the love he had for her nor able to understand his abilities!! She came to a conclusion that Raman isn't capable of making her dreams come true nor he would make her life a heaven!!
And when Ashok entered into the play, whatever she used to dream of her husband she got to see in Ashok and her desperation to live a rich life, enjoy all the luxurious made her push to think Ashok is a right guy for her to live with...She kinda felt hez a ray of light to her dark life! She continue to become puppet in the hands of Ashok which made an ultimate destruction to her married life!! She has taken everything on to her head and became a stone hearted woman who neither cared for her kids nor for her husband and had left with Ashok leaving Raman shattered and devastated!! And at that moment she thought what she has done is very much right!!
Now, learning that Raman had become a rich business tycoon and a CEO she cannot believe that Raman had actually proved her wrong!! She cannot bear the idea of loosing herself to Raman!! She feels happy in Raman's loss and pride in Ashok win! Though, Ashok had a big hand in manipulating her and making her to fall for his prey, I think Shagun is equally interested in his wrong deeds especially with regards to Raman and that is the reason she took charge on Ruhi's custody!! Whatever emotions she had for Ruhi were just stale and its an excuse to see Raman's defeat because his defeat is her win!! The smirk, the pride on her face when Raman said, he still loves her says she is so pre occupied in her thoughts that Raman deserves only her, can never have a second chance in his life and was just destined to drown himself in her memories...lol!! And what amaze me was, though she had her share of insecurities with Ashok she continue to trust him and be in a live-in relationship!! I I just want to see how she gonna deal when Ashok actually dump her!! Its gonna be a huge turning point in her already unstable life...!!
