is karan pretending to be sick?

to me it looks like karan is pretending to be sick, i think he knows Dr, viran roy is seeking revenge on them so he has to pretend to be sick so that Dr, roy doesn't harm them. karan only acts paagal with dr roy around otherwise he is fine with abha and they are happy. what do you think guys?comments plz.
