Shelly sees the keys in Abby's hands and tells her to go and get the papers. Abby is in a soup. She has to choose betw the devil and the deep sea. One side her father and the other her integrity. She is totally in a dilemma. She's walking towards the stairway. She is saying to herself that she's not kept a file in the car for Jags. She hopes he'll notice it missing and return home and save her from doing the sinful deed of robbing the papers. Jags in the meanwhile is searching for the while and is angry that Abby has been careless and forgotten to keep the file in the car. Jags tell the driver to return home. Abby is thinking its preferable to hear her boss's tirade rather than doing a dishonest thing. Shelly is smug and happy that it was a gr8 move on her part to get the file thro Abby. Abby has reached the room and is dragging her feet. She is moving towards the cupboard. Jags returns to the Swaran Bhavan and gets down from the car. Now they show Abby walking and Jags walking alternately for effect. Abby has just opened the doors of the cupboard when Jags reaches house. He is surprised that Abby has gone to his room. Jags enters his room and calls out her name. "Tasveer" Abby feels nectar has fallen in her ears at the sound of his voice. She tells him in her mind that she's not a thief and is loyal to the palace. Karan's sister also comes there.
"What are you doing her at this time…..When Mr Sharma will be coming in the evening?" Abby is playing for time.
Kanika is angry and accuses Abby. Shelly is disappointed that the opportunity is slipping away so she decides to get Abby into trouble. She also calls her a chor. Abby is shocked and then afraid. Krutika says call the police and the truth will be out. But Karan steps in and saves Abby once again. He says Abby went to remove cash for him …… for the first instalment of his new car. "Isn't it?" he asks Abby and she nods yes. Jags says he knows she's a good girl and doesn't want her to get into trouble. He tells her to close the cupboard and return the key. Abby is relieved. She does so……. But Shelly is hopping mad.
At Raghav's house, Raghav has brought some good news for the Thakur. The publisher's advance. He opens a bagful of notes. His wife is curious. CP is also wondering……. Raghav is smiling …….. Mami says how funny! How come this publisher has advanced money on a book that is still incomplete and one he hasn't read as yet. Raghav says there are good ppl in the world. CP smiles. Raghav continues to butter up the old crackpot. "What a wonderful idea for a book……."
The Thakur remembers how his wife had told him about how empty his ideas and his show of royalty is. He arrogantly tells that this book isn't abt the history of SB but an answer to those who had no faith in him and thought him to be living in an empty shell. He laughs cynically and then tearfully says that SB saved him ……. CP is unhappy and realises that the Thakur hasn't changed one bit. The Thakur takes the bag and goes to the altar to pray. But Mami wants to know the name of the publisher from her husband. He fobs her off. To himself he says, I hope you never find out that I have sold a piece of my property to raise this money.
In SB, Shelly tackles Abby and calls her useless. Why didn't you keep the file in his car? She asks and then suspiciously wonders if Abby had done it on purpose. Abby says how could she do it on purpose if it proved her to be a thief. Shelly tells her not to get too cute or smart because she still has her under her thumb. Jags Asst saves Abby and asks her to give him the notes that she has made. Shelly is worried about the builder.
Vimal is pleading with the builder and asks him to trust him. He says how can I when you have betrayed yr own father. The builder is in a bad mood. He shows him a gun to frighten him. Vimal begs him once again. He tells him he has no time for all this nonsense and calls in a stranger. He says he will collect the money from him. Vimal is shocked to see the boy.
