Also as I said they increased the brutalities from this side. In the novel the friends of Bano's brother (and none of them are named Ram that would have been added here definitely deliberately to malign Hindu God Ram's name) reach out to Bano's family when they are attacked and try their level best to protect them. Even before this attack they used to guard Bano's house from any attack. They are eventually able to only save Bano and her mother and they both with full responsibility take them to the caravan for Pakistan.

But here they showed both the friends to be evil who mock him at his back and lust his sister) they thought of ra**ing Bano. At the end one of them(one not named Ram) has a change of heart hearing pleas of Bano's mother and kills Ram. His last line was "Is Hindu Quam ko maaf kar dena" like are you seriously blaming entire community because of few evil people?

The novel (although from Pakistan's POV) was much more balanced. This TV show was actually taking a sadistic pleasure in portraying everything Hindu bad

The novel's ending should've been used in the show

Novel is good the show is bad

Yep Zamindar and the indian police officers are bad , Brits were barely shown

You know Saif's family the Nawabs of Bhopal didn't join India they actually were supporters of formation of Pakistan.

Later they had to join India under pressure of Vallabh Bhai Patel
