Regarding Kabir tho Neil knows that Insaan can do anything and everything for business, Kabir is money minded for Neil, as Neil calls him Profit khor Neil doesn't know about Kabir having some personal agenda against Mahajans so Neil doubting Kabir and giving benefit of doubt to Simone makes sense no matter whether Neil is a performance oriented character nowadays or not.
