This reminds me of some animated pogo / CN movie i watched when i was a kid , it showed Ravan's childhood days where his brother/ half brother is a devta and constantly bullies him for his dark complexion and how eRavan was an innocent guy in childhood....like i agree Ravan was well versed in Vedas and everything but this comes under the category of taking things too far

This is same as Duryodhan denying to target bird's eye because he didn't want to hurt the bird🤣

Or my theory for such pseudo liberals. He offered Draupadi to sit on his lap since he felt she was too tired after shouting and there were no spare chairs
