Snigdha quits Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyan

Snigdha Akolkar — who became popular as Shyamlee in Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyan — has quit the serial. According to sources, Snigdha felt that her character had become stagnant, thereby limiting the scope to grow creatively and otherwise. She had given her notice a month ago and now she is finally out of the serial. However, the actor has nothing to worry
about since she's inundated with film offers from the South and the actor's even toying with the idea. Snigdha had first made her presence felt in the serial as the no-nonsense protagonist, who despite encountering opposition from her in-laws and husband, forges ahead through all the obstacles stoically. Even her haircut had become a rage with the Shyamlee hairstyle catching up with the viewers. Then the story underwent a change, where all the earlier characters were done away with and she became Guddi surrounded by a different cast in a new set-up. Though she enjoyed playing Guddi, the ingenious actor found it restricting for her creativity to go on and hence this decision. Though one wonders, if it is really the creative angle or a monetary one!
