Daily soap Uttaran seems to be undergoing a makeover of sorts, which includes the exit of male lead Gaurav S Bajaj, who plays Aman opposite Meethi.
The actor is serving his notice period and if sources are to be believed then August 15 is the last day of his shoot. However, the actor declines the buzz, "There's no way I am quitting the show. I needed some time off for my personal work which earlier seemed difficult since my track was integral but eventually the producer of the show has granted me the number of days I require. I shall be back soon." Sources from the show insist that Gaurav has left the show for good hence a new face Mrunal Jain will be introduced soon opposite Meethi. Jain will play businessman Vishnu.
There are also changes in the offing as far as the upcoming track is concerned. The story, which was focusing on the younger generation until now, will soon be shifting gears and will bring to the fore the popular Ichcha-Veer romance. The Ichcha-Veer romance has always worked for the show and the producers are looking forward to revive the old magic. Actor Vikas Bhalla, who plays the role of Veer, has already started preparing himself for the upcoming track. His character, which sported a mustache until now, will sport a clean shaven look. He says, "The current story focus is shifting towards theIchcha-Veer romance, hence the creative team preferred the clean shaven look. I have retained the middle parting old-fashioned hair style and costumes." Gaurav Chopra's character of Raghuvendra Pratap Singh will also return on the show to add spice and drama. It is also to be noted that Kiran Kumar had some time back entered the show as Tej Singh. With latest additions to the male brigade on the show and new developments, the makers are hoping the change yields better results.
