March 18, 2010 Written Update
Mai comes into Dadaji's room, and wakes him up to ask why he's not drunken his tea yet. Dadaji awakes and says that he made a mistake once before that everyone is paying for now, and he feels like a mistake is being made again by hiding the truth from Vansh. Mai agrees, saying that she feels that they must tell him the truth once the time is right. Dadaji worries that it may be too late by then.
Vansh, Veer, Taps and Ichcha all arrive at an old, empty mansion. Taps asks Vansh why they're here, and he replies that today he's going to show them history of the Bundelas. Veer tells Vansh that he never remembers coming here before. On the front wall of the mansion, the year 1825 is engraved. Vansh introduces the mansion as Raja Shamsher Singh Bundela's. Taps thinks to herself why she got herself stuck here and fakes hurting her leg. She cries out in pain and Ichcha runs to her side. Taps tells them to go on inside, but Vansh insists that Veer stay outside with Taps. Vansh-Ichcha go inside. Veer asks Taps if it is hurting a lot, and she nods yes. He tells her that the last time she hurt her leg, she sang a song and inquires what song it'll be this time? Veer calls her 'satyavadi Tapasya Thakur' and says that the stories of her truthfulness should be added to the syllabus of kids so they can learn something from her.
Inside, Vansh tells Ichcha that he remembers coming here as a child on holidays. He tells her that whenever he came here, he always loved hearing the story of Kesar and Shamsher from his parents. Ichcha asks to hear the story and Vansh shows her a large portrait of Kesar. He tells her that Shamsher was a king who was skilled in warfare and a talented swordfighter. One day, Shamsher was interrupted during a swordfight by the sound of ghungroos. He found a girl dancing, a girl so beautiful she looked like an angel from the heavens. He fell in love with her right away, and asked her name and found out it was Kesar. Shamsher couldn't stop thinking about Kesar, and finally decided to marry her. The elders of his family didn't want this marriage, since Kesar was the daughter of a dancer. But no one would go against Shamsher's will, and finally agreed. Soon after the marriage, Shamsher spend less time thinking abt his kingdom and spent all his time with Kesar. And then one day, Shamsher's brother Hardev came back from war and was introduced to Kesar. At first, no one doubted Kesar and Hardev's relationship; after all they were devar and bhabhi. But before long, the servants started talking. And when Shamsher came to know of this, he couldn't believe his Kesar could do such a thing. He beheaded anyone who spoke of it. Ichcha asks Vansh what Shamsher heard that made him so angry. Vansh replies that he realized that Kesar had betrayed him. End.
