I'm a regular viewer of Udaan and visit the forum from time to time but as a silent reader. Just wanted to throw in my two cents.
High voltage drama is always important for any show. It racks up the ratings and gives the viewers a bit of a shock! But surely not at the expense of much loved characters and couples? The current twist created by the writers has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I feel as though the complex yet beautiful character of Suraj has been compromised for the sake of drama. And SuKor have been shred to pieces!! Why?
The writers didn't need to go down this route. They didn't need to sacrifice SuKor like this. Yes, this is temporary. Obviously Suraj and Chakor will find a way back to each other. And perhaps some viewers will forgive and forget the CVs. But I really believe a lot of damage has been done. Suraj loves Chakor - no doubts about that. He says he can't see Chakor in pain. She would've died. Question is - is she not dying every day? With the feeling of betrayal in her heart, is she not suffering every day? This is illogical writing by the CVs.
And the closeness between Suraj and Imli in recent times. Of course it is not romantic. But it's still uncomfortable to watch, no? I understand it's all part of the story line, to create the misunderstandings. But is it necessary to make SuKor fans uncomfortable? And why are the CVs hell bent on butchering Suraj's character? All of this is really making me dislike Imli, although she is also a victim! Whatever we are witnessing right now - well it's not the fault of the actors, of course. Fault lies solely with CVs. But for the sake of trps and drama, they seem willing to butcher everything 😕
