Hanif Hilal after having an unsuccessful run in dance reality show now tries his hand at acting…

Hanif Hilal who was last seen in Jhalak Dikhla Ja (and got replaced due to differences with Gauhar Khan) is now entering a daily soap produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms.

According to our source, "Hanif will be part of Desi Twilight. He will be playing friend of the female lead. Vivan Bhatena and Vivian D'sena have been shortlisted to play the male lead and Ekta Kapoor is looking for fresh female lead."

When contacted Hanif he told Tellybuzz, "I am trying to get into acting and I have given many auditions but nothing is confirmed yet."

From what can be deduced with the present information, Hanif will most probably enact the character of Jacob Black portrayed by Taylor Lautner in the original Twilight.

this show is doomed🤢. how the hell can this guy enact jacob😡. i ll hate ekta for this. first spoiling twilight then going on to to compare rob with vivan and taylor to hanif. If i ever my hands on ekta i am going to murder her.😡

I agree.. she doesn't seem to understand that there can't be a desi version for everything. And one of those those things is the twilight series. Plus Hanif seems a bit too "old" to play a character like Jacob. Ohh well.. let's see how it goes with audiences.
