Ok so I know everyone here is a Twilight Fan.
&& if you read the books, Steph Meyer (the author) makes you want to read all her books.
Some of you may know she has just started another series called: The Host.
I read it when it came out, but just reread again, and thought to post this topic.
If you read it, I have a question. Which couple is you fave couple?
- Jared&Melanie
- Ian&Wanda
&& please tell me why you like them.
Also, which love story did enjoy more. The love story from Twilight or Host?
Just those two things. A tiny Comp between Host couples; and Twilight VS Host couples.
Be nice && Have fun! [:

For me I liked Ian&Wanda. Thier love amazed me. Ian for loving the inner beauty of Wanda and not caring how Melanie looked or did or say. And Wanda for loving Ian even though the body she posses is physically attracted and yearns for Jared. The overcome so many challenges to become one and thats the kind of love I appreciate. Not something given easy.
&& maybe because of that I think I'm beginning to prefer the Host more than Twilight now-a-days. I don't that's just my view.

It is. If you thought "Twilight" was bad, "The Host" takes it to a whole different level. I ended up chucking my book at a wall after reading the first 400 or so pages. The weak female "protagonists", over-bearing archaic patriarchal mentality is not my thing.

Truthfully, I didn't like either of the couples (in Host or Twilight), if you can even call them that. Jared & Melanie who started kissing each other after like two minutes of meeting and then BAM!, in love. Ian and Wanda's damsel-in-distress thing doesn't cut it for me either. Meyer's "romantic" (read abusive) relationships aren't for me. Neither are her "protagonists". I like my female protagonists strong, active, and kick-ass. Temprence Brennan-esque. Ironic how Meyer seems to revert back to the traditionalized bigoted view of females when authors like Jane Austen, during the 1800s, wrote about strong female protagonists one should look up to. Mary Wallstonecraft must be howling in her grave.
